Every player will be on the field today, participating at some level.

3.09 GPA this summer.

Being decimated on the perimeter the past few years has affected Dobbs' performance.

QB is a byproduct of the consistency and performance of the people around him.

Time spent talking about expectations is taking time away from working and following the process.

We expect to win championships. That's why you come here.

Still only have 11 SRs.

We don't need to be game-ready right now. We just need to build up.

Asked about Game management against UF. "Nothing is done by chance. We go back and watch it-- part of being better. We define adversity and how to overcome it. We look at every single thing that occurred in college and pro FB last year. A lot goes into making decisions. A lot of time goes into it and we feel confident in our decisions."

Shy will be very, very limited. JJ is progressing-- expected to be full-go shortly. Will see how Day 2 goes in shells. Better conditioning than we've ever had. Know more tomorrow. Try to expose players to a lot of situational FB without wearing them out.

Too early to put expectations on true FR. Really like this FR class. Older players setting the standards for newcomers.

No update on Alexis Johnson.

Want newcomers to have mentality that they're playing early. They're responsible for defining their identity and role.

Message to incoming FR: "Compete, don't compare. Compete every single day."

Stay the course. Trust the process.

Very confident w/JRM and DK. Need someone to establish themselves as #3 and #4 LB.

S is going to be extremely competitive. Warrior moved back to S.

Who's going to be corner? All have had very good summers. Osbourne got valuable reps. Ask a lot out of Foreman. Need somebody to step up and play winning FB.

John Kelly is in great shape and will be needed to carry the ball. He will get an inordinate amt of reps, as will PWilliams. Need to continue to build on the momentum and have consistency day in and day out. We'll need both of them.

TKJr will wear #24 this season in memory of Z. Dobson. TKJr will be available to media after practice today.

Very comfortable with 8-game SEC sked, i/o 9.

QD needs to challenge Dobbs for 1st team reps. All QBs will get repetitions. Need to bring JG and SJ along. Goes hand-in-hand w/receivers-- need help from WRs. Earn reps thru performance. Excited about all these individuals.

Kongbo is very prideful & competitive. Careful not to put pressure on him. Needs to work to get 1% better every day. We have to be patient in his growth & development.

OL-- we're a little ahead on depth. We have competitive depth. Continuous production is imp.

Not as much depth on D. KMac looks good. May need to move individuals around.

Great seeing everyone. Look forward to seeing everyone out at practice.

CBJ much more relaxed looking than prior press conferences I've seen...hopefully that's his confidence in team 120 shining through.

CBJ looked like a man who finally has enough bricks and is ready to build something special. Really could have used Alexis Johnson and an elite FR DT-- other than that, we seem solid.

CBJ talking in short choppy sentences. Like my posts. Quick to the point. Succinct even. Optimistic this season.

A shame he will never own up to his mistake kicking the extra point against Florida.

I'd like him more and feel better about it if he just said " I effed up"

Hopefully he is more transparent with his team.

He stands to gain nothing by admitting that mistake in public. If he does, it's a headline and another negative talking point on Bleacher Report, ESPN, etc.

I agree. We all know he made a mistake and the right thing prob would've been to admit to it back in the post game session but now it's history. It wouldnt change a thing about what happened and only give UT negative headlines and would give other coaches more to use against us with potential recruits.

Prob best to just move on to team 120 and kicking of the azz's of any and all in their way.

I'm ready for some practice notes!
