CBJ in California

That's clearly what makes the most sense, AllVol. Add Helton (OC) and Tee (QBs) to that list, along with that uncommitted 5*CB and I think there's a 4* OL out there, too. With Reggie and Mac running interference for him, bUTch, who's an extreme multi-tasker, isn't going to waste all the time and Hart's (UT's) money for this trip to just pull one bunny out of the hat. Maybe he'll pull out a surprise OC and some Cali stud recruit by NSD.

I know if we do hire Helton, I think it's almost certain that Tee will join. I'd be willing to bet he'd replace Azzani as WR coach, cause I don't see Azzani sticking around without a promotion. Helton as OC/QB's, with Tee as WR's and passing game coordinator. That would actually be a nice combo set for a dynamic offense. As stated, there are some other great names popping up as well. If it's Mike Sanford Jr. that Butch is after, he would be a great hire as well. He's young, but his offense really produced last season at Boise. So much so, that he was recently offered the OC job at Ohio State.

I'm not sure Tee ever coaches at TN. I still wonder if he has hard feelings since Fulmer didn't allow him to come around while that investigation was going on. Not sure if a lot of fans remember but at one time Tee was hurt because of that and just curious if everything got worked out after everything got cleared. Obviously Ala was behind that but luckily he was cleared.

I think more than anything, it was more of his wife's decision to stay in California than Tee's. If I recall, she was striving toward an acting career at the time Butch had offered Tee a job on our staff. I don't think her career really took off so maybe she's gotten past that, or maybe there's more to Tee's situation than we know. I just can't see a national championship winning alum holding a grudge against Tennessee, especially when that was under Fulmer's regime and not Butch. I think it depends on whether or not he's content with staying out West or wants to make the jump back to big boy football.

Tee wanted to come back when he was at Kentucky. Dooley wouldn't return his call.

Considering the OC search has basically been top secret up until this point. It seems weird CBJ would suddenly reveal his location during the middle of the search.

Was he secretly sending a message to VolNation that we mustn't worry about Deboard being the OC? Has he already made the hire? Or his he simply showing VolNation that he's doing his due diligence and making a very thorough decision? Or was he just posting to Twitter because he addicted? Hmmm...

Pretty sure Coach Jones doesn't do anything without a reason and not knowing the consequences of the decisions he is making. If he posted to twitter that he was in Cali, there was a reason, and I am pretty sure it wasn't to secretly send a message to VolNation.

Still going to hang up and listen!!popcorn:

On a more important note, Butch is likely just trying to explain to the left coast kooks that the recent blizzard weren't caused by global warming.
