You need to learn the meaning of the word " IF there bud.
I didn't say Jones said it or didn't say it.
Unlike you, I am reserving judgement on the entire matter. You've already convinced yourself everyone is a liar and all will come out well for the UTAD apparently.
And you completely ignored the main point of my post which was Hart.
Anyone who thinks he makes it through this unscathed after the school has already settled over a million dollars in suits on his watch before this latest mess broke is beyond naive.
If I remember correctly didn't it come out at the time that jones did say that to him. That is why he got jumped in the locker room and then left the team. I believe it was told on this board. I could be wrong but I heard the same thing somewhere
Im just sayin if all this is true, we dont know what pressure he was under to say what... in the first statement and the second statement...This could turn out worst for us...there is already record of Bowles being threatened...you know he is gonna say his first staetment was forced...I could see it now...liberals not gonna let this one go
1st statement was made to a reporter
2nd is a sworn court document

But you can bet both will surface during any trial that is held as a reflection on the credibility of the person in question. People who don't tell the truth tend to lose track of what they have said to whom over time and contradict themselves. If you tell the truth, only thing that will be added is more details - not details that contradict something already said.
In the end, he becomes a liability for the plaintiffs.
Didn't destroy Auburn because of Cam's dad's payoff
Didn't destroy FSU when Winston was accused of rape and lifting crab legs
If anything this circles the wagons and makes a team determined.
This all day long. If, and I mean a big if, Butch ever used the word traitor around Bowles this is exactly how I believe the conversation would've went down. What kills me is that any reasonable person would want to know the context of a statement like that, assuming it was actually said in the first place. I can think of several ways it could have been said where it was not some sort of condemnation from Butch Jones.
D.B.: "Why are some of the guys mad at me, Coach?"
B.J.: "They see you as a traitor to the team. Don't worry though, we're going to straighten this thing out and get back on track."
That's one of at least a dozen scenarios where there was no malice from Jones in that statement.
If this was being reported about another school, people on here would be running with it saying it's all true. Especially if it was an sec school.
