Agreed. If innocent then this is a not an issue.
The standard of proof is higher in a criminal case than it is in a civil case. The former is proven beyond a reasonable doubt and the latter is a preponderance of evidence. So an acquittal in a criminal case does not preclude a successful civil suit. O.J. was found not guilty in his criminal trial and then liable in the civil trial.
On my mom's life!!! VFL period!! I bleed orange and always have! I grew up in the same neighborhood as Don DeVoe and us kids would play ball on his hoop! I swear on the bible!
We should be more civil to each other and especially to new people coming on here. My first night and I was called out twice. Both times the post were genuine and not hurtful or hateful. Peace to all on here and hopefully everyone learned to be nicer to people on here..
It's sort've an emotional time for Vol fans right now if you can't already tell.. don't take anything personal on here, especially during a time like this.. We all look forward to seeing you around the board in the future.. :good!:
If he has changed from his original sworn testimony now it's for $$$. After all that's the only thing on the line with this lawsuit. No one is going to jail based on the outcome. And it's a he said she said deal and impossible to find him in contempt. So why not?
