The history being repeated and the life champions is a lie. How do you combat a lie when the ones repeating it don't have enough self respect to get the facts right? You're blaming butch for something he can't control. It's amazing to watch UT fans even be forced to have these conversations

I agree this is very ridiculous to say, but he has been one of the best coaches at finding good players who are not highly ranked. It's funny that anyone on here thinks that over-complaining does anything except for make them look like a child.

Obviously a disappointing recruiting class, but every coach seemingly got the players they want, that's really all that matters.

We all know how good Cam Sutton was, and as of right now, after being on a 3 game bowl winning street with back to back 9 win seasons, 5 years removed from the worst 3 years of Volunteers lives, can we please just remain calm.

Finebaum just brought it up. Said it was ill advised after the Champions of Life comment.

Don't know if Butch would take any media coaching.
He certainly needs some.
But, I think he is either too stubborn or just not savvy enuf to know that these type of comments will be poorly received.

This is the same kind of BS justification post that hit this board after the "Champions of life" comment.

Obviously every coach in the country wants 5*heart. That's a damn unspoken assumption.

But only our coach follows up a very bad recruiting class with handing his rival coaches a box of ammunition to use against him next year.

Crap on a cracker, you literally can't make this stuff up. Even Derek Dooley is wishing this guy would shut up already.
