Wes Rucker Retweeted Brandon Emert

He said this last night, and I didn’t write it. He said it again this morning. And again this afternoon. This is what he wants out there.

Jones is done. He could hang his hat on recruiting but now the in state talent is getting away from him. Every year you can bet on a few programs within the conference competeing for a title and now out of those teams Tennessee is scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of overall talent. Jones couldn't get the job done with great talent before and now we're only mediocre in recruiting.

I posted this in the Rucker thread just a minute ago.

I like Butch, but I can't believe he said that.

He's getting absolutely murdered on local sports radio here in North Carolina, as in 5 1/2 hours away. They just did 2-3 minutes making fun of him.

Nick Saban needs to make sure Butch no longer speaks to the media....he's just embarrassing himself on a regular basis.

This man is such a jackwagon, he gets one more year to produce with his 5-star hearts or he hits the damn road. Chip Kelly is sitting out there unemployed, jesus he has the personality of a wet mop but at least he can coach

i mean he has to rationalize it some way to the folks with pitch forks. dont know if thats the way and personally dont have much of an opinion on it, they play the games on the field.....but he is a cliche machine...this wont dampen the pitchfork folks desire to bash or undermine his recruiting.

He takes it too far. All he has to say is "we got a solid class of players we feel best fit our program and we're going to work extremely hard to develop them to win football games." That's ALL he has to say but he just wont shut up! The guy can't help himself.

He's talking about Hurd and Preston Williams. 5* players with a 1* heart. Butch wants players who'll work hard to improve this team instead of quitting when they don't get their way. It's not that much of a big deal like some posters are bringing it out be. Literally nothing to see here.

More "make fun of Butch" fodder for the rest of the SEC. He should really think things through before he utters them. His cheeseball factor is off-the-charts at this point.

Lol...at some point you're going to have to admit a lot of stupid things come out of his mouth.

And newsflash, it's not the posters here destroying him over it.

This is as bad as him claiming 3 straight BOWL CHAMPIONSHIPS and Tennessee is back. This guy is a joke and just keeps feeding the media with stupid quotes. Your 5* heart but 3* talent will keep winning you your mediocre/bad bowl championships.
Someone seriously needs to sit him down and tell him he needs to stop talking. Everytime he talks to the media he basically says he is more than happy being mediocre and as long as he's here the fans should get used to being mediocre.

Why would Nick Saban care? They guy literally told people to calm down because its not going to be that easy to run the ball when they play a good team, after the Tennessee game.

In a way, he does have a point in wanting guys that will put in the effort. Look at some of our top rated players over the years that thought they could get by without putting in the work.
