At the end of Sports Center the other night one of the hosts said he wanted to tell his friends at Catspause that ESPN doesn't hate UK and apologized for not showing the highlights of the UK & UGA game. Maybe if we acted like spoiled and immature fans we could get Vol Nation mentioned on ESPN. :dance2:

One of the posters mentions UT's shady history with some players. Must have forgotten about Chis Mills (payoffs), Eric Manuel (academic fraud), Tom Payne (rape), Chuck Hayes(rape), Alex Groza, Billy Spivey, Ralph Beard (point shaving scandal resulting in death penalty for one season), and the series of Pulitzer Prize winning articles by the hometown paper detailing improprieties in recruiting and alleged payoffs.....makes Ernie Grunfeld shooting someone else's freethrows pale in comparison

Shawn Kemp, although he never played, stole Sean Sutton's gold necklace and took it to a pawn shop. The numerous times that Eddie Sutton was found passed out behind the wheel and given a ride home by the Lexington police. :whistling:

That was unbelievable.
Imagine if the Phil Fulmer neigh-sayers were this rabid. They would probably critically explain how Phil's turtlenecks were causing all our losses.

Checkerboard seating in 2006.
Retiring King's jersey in 2007.
Lofton show/ retiring Grunfeld's jersey in 2008?
What's next, exhume Ray Mears' body in 2009?

Try living among them. One day I was trying to turn out of the Kroger parking lot and this guy stopped to let me out, when he realized I was wearing my UT hat he grabbed his UK hat off his head pointed at it and flipped me off and drove away. :) It cracked me up. They really do hate UT.

I've actually forced myself to stop going there. I'm banned, so I can't defend Coach or the players. The majority of posters there are so quick to call Pearl classless and say we can't sustain our success. Whatever.
