I just got back from the game. Terrible coaching but that's already been discussed. I felt so bad for the players. As soon as UT got that last touchdown one of the UK players (couldn't see which one) threw his helmet and walked into the tunnel. As the team walked by they all looked so sad. One of them kept had a towel over their head (I guess to hide their crying) and another just kept screaming curse words. You could tell this one hit them really bad.

I heard on the radio that Newton was blaming himself and couldn't even look the seniors in the eyes. They also said Cobb was pissed off and a few other players were crying. The team needed this win, but our coaching staff took it away from them. Way to go Joker. Way to go Rich.

What's being lost in this whole situation is that Kentucky was only in this game because of a horrible decision by Crompton on the first series. That pick-6 obviously gave them an early 7-point lead, but it also got the crowd fired up and got every bit of the momentum on their side. If Crompton sees that backer, which he would 9 times out of 10, then Kentucky doesn't even have a legit chance at the end. Tennessee owned TOP and the yardage battle. Rich Brooks and Joker Phillips DID NOT lose this game. In fact, I'm pretty sure they never even played a single down. CMK made adjustments to stop the Wildcat in the 2nd half, and it worked, which is why Joker went away from using it as much. Kentucky fans are delusional if they honestly think the coaches lost this game. Coach Brooks/Phillips are the reason they were even in the game.

I guess this goes to show that Kentucky fans are only as good as the team they cheer for.

ut fans can eat ****...they are just mad because they cant hold a candle to the fla's, alabama's, and lsu's in football...and they have never been able to nor will they ever be able to hold a candle to uk in basketball...on top of that we are gaining on them in the one sport they love...

Heck boys. I don't know about you but I'm not mad at all. I think beating Kentucky is fun and I probably deserve some icecream.

alright bear with me..... i got alot to say here, mostly about the pathetic nature of kentucky fandome and how they believe they are relevant, i decided to make a few points about the game yesterday and their program as a whole

1.) right off the bat going into the stadium the first thing that jumped out at me was the MASSIVE "2009 Liberty Bowl Champions" banner that hung from the stadium. that made me laugh OUT LOUD for several minutes. i mean to be honest its VEEEEEERRRRYYYY intimidating to have to go into the home of the "Liberty Bowl Champions"...... NOT

2.)i was standing around eating before and after the game right where our band marched in and later out of the stadium..... and they got booed worse by Kentucky fans than anywhere else that i've ever seen. not only that, but it was as bad or worse after the game than before. i mean its one thing if they boo before the game, but you would think after 25 years they would have learned a little humility..... plus this is flat laughable considering that there band is a DISGRACE.... when our little pep band got their whole stadium booing to RT, it just proved that our little pep band had better control of the crowd than theirs did

3.)obviously a blowout is much more favorable and fun than what we have seen the past 2 visits to Lexington. but that having been said, just seeing the shocked/bewildered/disbelieving/furious look on the kentucky fans faces after the game makes it all worth it...... i mean this game is a HUGE rivalry for them, even though it isn't for us, and just like 2 years ago they were at one point sure it was FINALLY FINALLY gonna happen but just like the last quarter of a century same story, different chapter. i loved that RT rang through their stadium for a good fifteen minutes as their fans just stood there in disbelief almost as if they were refusing to believe that it was over

like i said i think that there are a few lessons that keTnucky (4 years ago) need to learn that you thought that they would have by now; KNOWING YOU ARE IRRELEVANT, KNOWING OUR "RIVALRY" MEAN NOTHING TO TENNESSEE in football, and LEARNING TO SHOW RESPECT TO A TEAM THAT OWNS YOU

Some of those posts on CatsPause cracked me up! If CLK is getting as much SEC hate as Spurrier used to (and for the same reasons), I'm ok with that!

While my KY friend is out, I shall get on his rivals account:

Here's some quotes.

"I'M SO SICK OF OUR DAMN COACHES RUINING OUR SEASON FOR US!!! WHEN WILL THIS CHANGE!!!!!! MORGAN NEWTOWN SHOULDN'T HAVE TOUCHED THE DAMN BALL WITH FREAKING 2 MIN LEFT TO PLAY. R.COBB SHOULD HAVE HANDED OFF THE BALL TO DLOCKE ON THOSE DAMN WILDCAT PLAYS TO KEEP THE DEFENSE HONEST. THEY STACKED ALL THEIR DAMN PLAYERS IN THE BOX. RUN IT TO THE OUTSIDE?? 1 TIME? 2 TIMES? I MEAN IF IT WASN'T FOR DLOCKE WE WOULDN'T BE WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW WOULD WE? USE BOTH OF OUR PLAYMAKERS!!! MORGAN NEWTON IS NOT A PLAYMAKER! HE IS A FRESHMAN! WHO WILL LEARN BUT NOT IN THESE BIG GAMES!!!! MISS ST AND NOW TENNESSSEEEESWESDESESEE!! I'M SO PISSED. I'M SORRY FOR CAPS AND THE LANG BUT I DON'T REALLY CARE. SITTING IN THE STADIUM AND LOOKING AT MICAH JOHNSON LOSING HIS MIND TRYING TO KILL THE OTHER PLAYERS BECAUSE OF A HEART BREAKING LOSE IS KILLING ME!

KENTUCKY FOOTBALL NEEDED THIS WIN. THIS WIN WOULD HAVE PUT US ON THE VERY TOP FOR RECRUITING! WE WOULD HAVE BEEN A LEGIT TEAM. NOW WE'RE BACK TO THIS AVG CRAP! I'M SO SICK OF THISSSS"

"TYPICAL KENTUCKY FOOTBALL
I've said it before and I think it can be said...ONCE AGAIN."

"we went for the tie instead of the win
. . .we went for the loss and succeeded. Just that simple. We had 2 free downs at the end of regulation to throw the ball into the end zone for the win but instead we play for the tie = loss.

We deserved to lose this one for not being courageous enough to try to win it - simple as that.

OUT"

This is hilarious. Yes, a win over UT would have vaulted Kentucky to the top of the recruiting world. USC? Texas? I think not. It's Kentucky baby! They beat UT! LOL

That's just terrible. I'm actually a Kentucky hoops fan (yes, I know). Being from PA, I never liked the local teams growing up, so I lookeed outside the normal options. When I was little, I saw Reggie Cobb and Chuck Webb and loved UT ever since. Same goes for Jamal Mashburn and UK hoops. I am UT in all but mens hoops and plan to retire to the Knoxville area when the time comes.

Anyhoo...that being said, I think it's a joke that UK fans try to compare UT football to other teams like Bama etc rather than Kentucky. Even sadder, they start to talk hoops. As much as I'm excited about Calipari, I think it's funny how they dismiss his prior "allegations" yet assume Lane is a crook. Just a poor job of accepting defeat.

Rivals has Kentucky's 2010 class #73 and #12 in the SEC
Vanderbilt's class is #68 and #11 in the SEC

I am assuming he meant they would have vaulted over Vanderbilt.

There was a thread on there Saturday morning about how they were gonna "storm the field" and rip down the goalpost. Somehow that disappeared.

This just made me laugh:

Re: Kiffin better coach than Brooks and proved it tonight.

Kiffin rode his work horse when it mattered and Brooks didn't.

Kiffin won. That is all coaching right there.

And two responses:
-Kiffin has better players. It's all about recruiting. If we had a back like Hardesty, we win the game. DUH........

-If we had a back like Hardesty, he'd be our Safety. You know this as well as I do.

That is some funny, funny stuff right there!!!!

UK losers should blame their coaches for that loss. Rich Brooks and Joker, aka "The Joke" Phillips blew it at the end of regulation. They let our defense off the hook by not giving the ball to Cobb. It looked like they were settling for the tying FG instead of trying to win. That's coaching scared. Idiots. Oh, well. Long live the streak!

I can't believe there are some KY fans who actually claim the NC that Sagarin gave them. That is worse than Alabama. His system didn't even exist in the '50s. He didn't run his system against those old seasons until the 1990s. Plus, we beat them that year (I think we're talking about 1950).
