New to the board here as a rival SEC fan, but the man said Ronald Reagan was his favorite President.

That's enough for me to move him pretty high up my list of honorable coaches.

Coach Fulmer was/is a true Volunteer and Tennesseean. Some of you should head the advice of my Grandmother, "if you dont have something nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all". There are few that have made such a positive impact on our University and our football program as Phillip Fulmer did. But of course all of the positive is forgotten. Just dont read the stuff if you dont want to, and shut up about it. Many of you say "lets just move on", and most of us have. Im excited about our future, I am excited about Coach Dooley, but I can't and won't forget the contributions of Coach Fulmer.

i agree. yeah we are not were we would like to be as far as dominance in college football but fulmer did so much for this university and i promise when he was winning a national championship he did not have as many haters. but it is what it is and deuche bags will hate!

...and then led the nosedive into national irrelevance.

Personally, I think a 6 mil buyout more or less covers the "respect" issue.

Philip Fulmer is starting to become the VN equivalent of herpes. Just about the time you think you've put it behind you...another flareup occurs.

To be honest Fulmer is one of the biggest jerks I have ever met. I am suprised the author got the interview since very few people will ever read it. He must have money invested with Fulmer's investment firm.
