Carrying D. Moore off the field...a new low.

That's the thing. Everybody always says to "act like you've done it before." You have to remember that a lot of these guys just haven't experienced very many high spots in their college careers.

I don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't even say the players carried him off the field. They just raised him up on their shoulders for a minute and then put him down.

Wins are going to be hard to come by the season. This team should celebrate at every opportunity.

I believe that some of our fans have chosen to be in denial about the state of our program, and others are realist. You can be real about the situation but that doesn't mean your happy with it.

It's as simple as this: UAB is basically an equal opponent IMO. Our program is young, injured, depleted, and inexperienced. We have played above our heads at times which gave some false hope. Although we are better than we played today, I believe we should be as excited as heck. At least we know they want to win and fought to the end.

I don't feel real good about the game today, but I can assure you I feel a lot better than I would if we had lost.

Guys we have a new qb,rb,and our number 1 reciever is injured. A young and thin team all around...Let um celebrate..dang let the young men be happy for winning in overtime.

Well the catch did make #2 on ESPN's Top 10. I thought carrying him off was a little overboard but I'm sure the play washed a little of the bad taste out of their mouths.

As many freshman as we have playing, carrying D. Moore off the field is fine. This is a bigger and better experience than they witnessed in high school.

This. I didn't like them carrying Moore off the field at first but my friend PIVOL reminded me that this was a big win for those kids. We gotta remember how young this team is and they're the ones working everyday for these wins. NOT US

You know carrying him off the field wasn't my favorite thing, but if that is how they want to celebrate then so be it. It's better than them going to bar Knoxville tonight getting drunk and into a fight.

also, they were enjoying a victory. Yes, it was over a less than worthy opponent, but let them enjoy it today. Because tomorrow they have to move on and prepare for LSU

They didn't give up. They were out there busting their butts trying to win. Cut the guys some slack.

I understand its a game winning play but it won the game over UAB, not UAT. Playing them in overtime is embarrassing. Carrying a player off the field like he won the Sears trophy convinces me that these kids have learned how to lose. This is a bigger project than just getting some more players.

Of all the things to piss and moan about... Want me to run to Wal-Mart and get you some Pamprin?

Good grief, GTFU....

I thought it meant they were excited to win a game in OT? They're kids (your words) so of course they are going to be excited...half of them just won their 2nd game in college. Everything is a learning process right now....even how to react to winning a game. They just came off 2 tough losses and nearly dropped this one, so it's ok for them to celebrate. If they had done nothing there would be complaints about that.

+1...:eek:k:

I doubt the celebration lasted more than 30 seconds after they left the field. It's hard not to be excited in an OT win where no much else exciting happened. Burn the tape and move forward. Learn to defend the swing pass and screen and it's a different game. Win's a win this week.

No wonder I was the only one rushing the field at the end of the game...it was awkward...thanks for clearing that up!

:lolabove::lolabove:

At least somebody in orange got some rushing yards on that field today

I'm sure that you have been roasted already... so i'm not I'm not going to bother reading the rest of this thread. A win is a win is a win is a win, so GTFO. Honestly, you can go ahead and jump off this train now if you're not in it for the long haul.

This team has almost no former players that were used to winning college football games. The good programs were all bad at some point previously and had to chip away at the recruiting and building depth to get where they are. UT is not in such a bad spot as people are making it out to be.
