Just seen where Torrian Wilson De-commiting from Stanford on rivals.I think rivals has him the no.2 rated guard in the country.Tennessee,Michigan,USF were his other choices.Would be great if we could get him, along with cullen and green!Only problem is that I believe gran was recruiting him.

I think he's young, and probably still learning on the job. I didn't expect an undefeated season, and I would hope nobody else did either. He's fiery, toughminded, and confident (bordering on cocky) which is a complete 180 from the previous regime, and I think that will serve the team well. He's put together a great staff, took a team that won five games last season with an offense that couldn't get out of it's own way, and turned it into a competent unit with virtually the same players that have a new-found confidence in themselves and the direction they're headed in. So yeah, I'd like to have had another win or two this year, but I've seen enough to know that he was the right hire at an overdue time, and brighter days are ahead.

I think that Crompton improved so much that people have forgotten how bad he actually was. Never mind that he was playing behind a freshman and two walk ons during the turnaround.

Really. Seems to me a dumbed down offense would have gotten worse. Ours didn't, but don't let that get in your way. Disregard to accuracy difference late. Forget that our receivers improved overwhelmingly. Just use anecdotal drivel to make some random point.

My "random point" was in direct response to a Lexvol's opinion on Kiffins coaching and his take on that ability with Cromptons improvement. That hardly constitutes "anecdotal drivel to make some random point"; please try to pay attention. A simpler offensive passive scheme for a qb learning his third system would make an offense worse? I don't think we could have gotten any worse in the passing game early in the season. Do you think that Cromp's miraculous turn around was a result of them installing a more complex system?

It was widely reported that Cromp was re-coached to focus only on half of the field when making his reads, thus improving his completions - whether it was because of that change or as a result of it that our receivers improved (simultaneously) - is arguable.

As if a Florida fan is "unbiased".

Have fun without Jesus Christ guiding your team next year.

I'm surprised he had time to play football this year, what with saving orphans from fires and changing all that water into wine, maybe that explains why his numbers were down.

He seems to be a good recruiter but 7 wins with the schedule this year was a disappointment.

Really? Cause winning 7 games with that schedule and that talent is frickin' miraculous. We played two no.1 teams and easily had the toughest October schedule of anyone in the country. You're nuts if you don't think 7 wins is good with what we were working with. You must be one of those people who thought Fulmer was still getting after recruits and putting the best players on the field(to this day it is infuriating that Hardesty had to sit behind Arian "fumbles" Foster for so long).

We could have and probably should have won a couple other games. We definitely should have beaten UCLA, and we should have beaten Auburn. However, this will go down in history as the worst roster that Kiffin will ever have in his tenure as the UT head coach. While the season could have been a little bit better, it's hard to get overly upset about it given the bare cupboard that our previous coaching staff supplied.

With a decent kicker, you can add one or two more wins to that record, take a Heisman out of Bama's trophy case, possibly have a different National Title game, and Crompton's legacy looks a whole lot different. Kiffin had to roll with the talent given him and it wasn't too much if you couldn't tell by the amount of walkons and freshmen we had contributing.

I think Carroll is best friends with Monty and that's how Lane got on Carroll's staff in the first place.

Do you think he is a good coach?

Considering he schooled Nick Saban in every facet of the game, yeah, I'd say Kiffin knows what he's doing.

Care to grace us with more infinite pearls of wisdom, or are you one of those drive-by Failmerite posters?

If he's going 7-5 three or four years from now, then flame away. Otherwise, you and the rest of the Fulmerites masquerading as concerned fans -- especially after year one -- are not going to fool anyone.

I would say a healthy Jones and Moore had a lot to do with Crompton's "turnaround". There is no doubt that Crompton got a lot better but he also had a better supporting cast in the second half of the season,

Tennessee just commented another penalty under Sanders lead offense while I typed this. The only think Kiffin and Sanders have in common is they were both average college QBs. That is were it comes to a complete stop. Let go. What about Chief?

I tend to agree with those who find the article a little lacking. If it had been written by a high school senior for journalism class, I would have no problem with it; but this is not professional-quality journalism. I have nothing against Griff as a person, and can't remember any other articles that struck me as amateurish, but this one most definitely is. It doesn't reflect well on UT, isn't informative, and generally just wasted two minutes of my life.

"You are what your record says you are." Lane Kiffin as a head coach is 12-20. Sure he had a good recruiting year but so did Fulmer. Fulmer was in the top 15 2 of the past 3 years, to act like talent is not on this team is crazy. If you are pretending like Fulmer could not coach I remember them playing for an SEC championship in 2007.

He also had 2 classes outside the top 20 in 2 of his last 4 years. One wasn't even in the top 30. In the SEC, you can't have any off years in recruiting and expect to compete with the big dogs. Plus, almost half of the '07 class is gone. That was arguably the most overrated class in college football history.
