Carolina Panthers

Who are the rooting interests this weekend?

Personally, I think Eagles over NO and SF over GB. If anyone is going to beat Seattle at home I think it's SF.

I really hope the Eagles win. I'd much rather face their rushing attack than a pass-happy Packers team or a 9ers team looking for revenge.

This. The Panthers are better built to stop the run than the pass, but with the way this defense is playing, I like their chances regardless of opponent...

Looking ahead, though, I think the Panthers would rather face the 49ers in Charlotte than the Seahawks on the road. I don't think the Packers can win at Seattle, but I think the 9ers might.

My God, those days were depressing. Talks of Armanti Edwards, Tony Pike, Jimmy Clausen etc. etc. make my stomach turn...

Is there any question that Jimmy Clausen is the luckiest man in the world, other than Jamarcus Russell (well, before he wasted all his money on dat' poorple drank)? Dude was completely untalented, and we all knew it. I remember thinking how crappy the draft pick was at the time, and I don't know much about anything. Hit it at the right time. We needed a QB after Delhomme and drafted him 1st round in the last year before the NFL contract/salary negotiations. I'm not sure, but I would imagine that Clausen was being paid just as much as Cam for getting to act like a frat boy clown on the sidelines. I don't think he's even in the NFL anymore, and I'm glad. Regardless, he made out like a bandit, and I'm sure he's doing just fine.

On second thought, after now reading the first couple of pages of the thread, maybe we all didn't realize how crappy Clausen was and was going to continue to be afterall.

My seven-week-old enjoyed the entire draft as well.

Saw that I posted this pic on one of the first pages. YOu'll be happy to know he is now almost four, and watched the entire second half of the game yesterday with me, though he had other options. His younger brother wanted him to play legos, but he jsut wanted to watch the "Panfers" with dad.

He was drafted at the end of the second round, so it was only about a million a year. I was hopeful he would be Casey with a better arm but it didn't work out.

Just went back and read most of the thread and wow, it's amazing how far this football team has come from the dark days of 2010.

Edit: And absolutely nobody can accuse myself, Panthro, Regulator, VolWindy etc. etc. of being bandwagon fans haha

Liking this now since I couldn't like the picture before. Way to go for the older bro to set an example!

Heck no they can't!

With this offenses potential, this team should never, ever lose.

I think they can beat the Eagles for sure, but I don't think they would beat Seattle or N Orleans a 2nd time (especially if NO plays well enough to beat both Philly and Seattle on the road).

San Fran may be the most complete team, but could be the team they match up better against.

I hear that Panfers team is pretty good this year. Had an amazing turnaround to their season as well.

No luck, tried refreshing 10 minutes before 10, tried for 2 or 1 anywhere in the stadium right at 10 and there was not a single ticket available. Bummed!

I got the same outcome, unfortunately. Hopefully my buddy with PSL's decides to take me instead of his Patriots fan gf.

One of my coworkers tried calling right at 10 and her son was on the computer, neither of them got any either. Will just have to have fun at the sports bar!

I'll be pulling for an Eagles win tonight. Don't want to see GB or SF next week. I think we can matchup well with the Eagles.
