Carolina Panthers

We promoted Shula. I'm pretty upset with this hire. I cannot believe we picked him over Hue Jackson.
The good news is that we won't be competing with 8 other teams for a HC next year.

Hue Jackson should be getting more looks. I couldn't care less that he's black. I would want him him Nashville because he would be an upgrade at OC for us, and other teams, including Carolina.

He interviewed but JR decided to go with Shula. Apparently Cam put in a vote for Shula.

No more Chris Gamble. If we can't resign Captain, we're going to have to take a CB in the first.
I've got a feeling I'm going to miss Gamble quite a bit next season.

Talk about a BPA draft...Sheesh! I've never seen a team ignore needs specifically for BPA this blatantly before.
I LOVE Lotulelei, and I'm coming around on the Short pick. Our d line is now officially scary. I like the guard pick, but I wish the last two could have been secondary.
My favorite thing we did on Saturday was picking up Robert Lester as UDFA.

Yeah, there were several CB prospects that could have been taken instead of Short and perhaps he, or another DT, could have been gotten later. Hopefully an improved pass rush can mask CB deficiency. One veteran that still has a little gas left in the tank and that I'd love to see land in Carolina is Charles Woodson, but he'll probably get more money and better opportunities elsewhere.

We all know the positions up for grabs so what is you prediction who will wind up on top.

1. SS ---
Mitchell -- Campbell ----- Lester

2. WR (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th)

Hixon --- Ginn ---- Edwards --- Gettis --- Pilaris --- Adams -- Bryant

3. CB (1st , 2nd, Nickle 2 back-ups )

Norman -- Florance --- Thomas -- Moore -- Captain -- Dockery -- White

4. TE (2nd/3rd)

Rosario --- Williams

5. RG

Hangman -- Kubgillia

Also, since things are slow lately, I thought I'd just go ahead and leave this here.

I don't think I'm being a homer when I say that Kuechly's performance last night was one of the best defensive performances I've ever seen by a single player. He was in on every play and made a huge difference on just about every single play. It was unbelievable.

On the flip side, our entire offensive line looks like when Dallas Thomas plays LT.
If Gettleman doesn't fix that immediately, Cam will almost definitely get injured this season.

OLine has been a joke. They were trying to get the RBs and Cam killed last night.

Kuechly was amazing,it was like watching Ray Lewis in his prime.I was also impressed with Lotulelei's play, he has tremendous potential.

If the OL can improve, this will be a playoff team.

Can't wait for the Seattle game.

Go Panthers !!

Panthers will surprise some people. Sttrong defense and I think Cam will have it together finally. The run game concerns me some... but I think they make the playoffs. I know I'm a homer but I didn't have faith in them last year but they finished strong and got the D together after is was the O that was good Cam's 1st year.

If the d-line can stuff the run consistently and generate some pass rush to take some of the heat off of the secondary, this defense could surprise. They could definitely be playoff contenders.
