Carolina Panthers

So of course I'm over reacting as I'm sure Moore gives us a marginally better chance than an unprepared Clausen.

But how many times do we as a team and fanbase have to endure these turnover laden performances? They are such soul sucking performances and really kill any possible early season Mo.

It just reminds me of the Eagles game last year and what lost year it was because we stuck with Lame Duck Delhomme and didn't make a switch when we saw what he was bringing to the table.

With this D and this run game and Kasay and Sutton/Goodson returning, all we need is a guy behind center that won't kill us and we have a good playoff chance.

BY the way... The single most surprising stat i've heard all season

Carolina only gave up FOUR touchdowns to WRs all of last year... I read that and had to go game by game to believe it.

Weeks 2, 7, 9, 16... to Roddy White, Lee Evans, Robert Meachem, Steve Smith, respectively.

frustrating to watch this team...going to be a long year...:cray:

at least the cowgirls lost :clapping:

Once again I will say this, Charles Godfrey is absolutely putrid. The guy has blown so many coverages now that it's almost comical. Matt Moore is done, time to sit him on the bench and let him walk as soon as his deal is up. Our WRs are so young that it isn't even funny and we also are getting no pressure what so ever on the opposing QB. It's so frustrating to watch this team play.

I'm very tired of our conservative owner and his total disregard for spending money to get good players. I hope I'm wrong though and with all the money we're "saving" this year, we'll have tons to spend on free agents when the NFL resumes again in 2012 (I'm desperate to have optimism and reaching here).

Have a feeling we'll be picking high after this year as well...

I'll be at the Bengal's game Sunday. I'm not a fan of either team, but I figured I'd check them out with my own eyes.

Any tips on things to do at the stadium for those that have been?

I watched yesterday's game with a Bucs fan. Now, due to a dumb bet, I have a TB Super Bowl poster hanging in my cube at work. Geesh!
I'm so surprised that I've turned on Matt Moore so quickly, but I was chanting "Jim-my Clau-sen" in my head at the start of the fourth quarter yesterday.
Clausen completed as many passes in one drive as Moore had all day. Have you noticed how he loves to go to Gettis? I think they sparked a little chemistry working with the 2s at camp. I like to see those two hooking up for some magic soon.
We're about to lose two more games, but maybe we can get a little better soon.
How ridiculous is Jeff Davidson, by the way?

He's an absolute idiot. The Tampa players knew what was coming the entire day...

We really, really, REALLY, need to get the running game working.

Exactly. We are not a passing team and having to go away from the ground game is hurting us.

That being said, unless we get some completions and make the defense think a little bit, opposing teams will continue to stack the box and D. Will and Stewart won't have a chance.

It's critical that we convert some drives and call some plays that keep the defense guessing (talking to you Davidson).

I'm completely on the Clausen bandwagon, now.
By the way, over on Carolinahuddle.com, they're only referring to him as "Pickles." Would be funny if that sticks.

I thought it had something to do with the pic of Clausen in a speedo with two other dudes. Turns out it's just referring to the pickle company named Claussen.

Clausen appears to be taking this opportunity very seriously from what I'm reading from several articles. He's being more vocal with the starters and taking a leadership role.

I'm excited about this kid, we haven't had a QB this hyped since Kerry Collins (let's hope the results aren't similar).

I have read lots of stuff about his leadership factor, too. Apparently JStew is pretty impressed with Clausen.
I sure hope he can step up and succeed. We'll need it with Brees, Ryan, and now Freeman playing so well in our division.

I sat through it. It poured up until kickoff and pretty much died afterwards, except for a light drizzle a few times.
