Carolina Panthers

Sorry, guys. I'm hopping off the Bandwagon. I'm rooting for the sheriff.

understandable.

this really worked out for us.

when else can your team be in the Super Bowl, and the worst case scenario is Peyton get's a ring?

i'll be disappointed if we lose. it'll suck for the city, and this season would be a forgotten one in the history books.

but i'd be able to sleep at night b/c 18 gets to go out a winner, quieting so many of the critics.

that said, .....KEEP POUNDING!!!!

Said it before, I'll say it again. Love Peyton, love what he means to my Alma Mater, but I would take no solace in him winning the Super Bowl over my Panthers. Once a player leaves UT, I love to see them do well and accomplish great things, but never at the expense of the Panthers. Period.

I would be just as upset if Brady won it. This isn't college anymore, as evidenced by my hatred of other college teams, yet cheering for many of their former players every Sunday. :)

Like Chris Scott. I sure hope that guy can win a Super Bowl this year!

Agreed. OBJ/Norman incident has been put behind both teams and players, but this clown keeps bringing it up. He's acting like a petty *****.

I thought Norman handled the questions well, given their unprofessional nature.
agreed. i was so nervous he was going to say something stupid. JN did a very admirable job of keeping it together and ending that exchange on a very positive note.

like they say..."don't take the cheese". and he didn't.

Sunday can't get here soon enough. I love Peyton Manning, but I'm afraid he's going to be in for a very rough afternoon. Panthers to win and cover in a game that will never be as close as the final score might indicate.

Panthers 31
Broncos 20

Since the Super Bowl era, the groundhog has only predicted an early spring 12 times. Of those 12, the NFC team has won the Super Bowl that year 7 times. 7 out of 12! I mean...that pretty much locks it up for us, right?

Did another Super Bowl podcast today, and I came up with a few ridiculous stats like this one.
My game prediction is 24-13 Panthers.

Another fun stat I came up with proves Cam will go to multiple Super Bowls.
Only 29 QBs have won Super Bowls. 13 of those have 3-letter first names. Of those 13, 9 have been to multiple Super Bowls. Cam fits in with the likes of Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Jim Kelly, etc.

sweet. my kid's 3rd grade class did this yesterday and sent it to the panthers...kinda corny, but i love how this city has rallied this year around the Panthers....reminds me a lot of what i saw a lot in Pittsburgh over the last 10 years....this is how you develop a fan base....so for no other reason, i'm loving this...

That's cool Jake!

This wait is just too long! We are doing a panther superbowl lunch today at work. So the fun begins today!

yeah my office is doing the same. everyone in jerseys etc...and all the signs in front of businesses have "keep pounding" or "go panthers" on them....it's really cool. even better than the 2003 super bowl trip....i think the city is more ready for it, the fan base has a full generation behind it now.....and it's showing all over town...flags on cars....anyway, it's just fun to be part of it, and as someone that didn't grow up in an NFL city, i'm really glad my kids are getting to experience this. just builds pride in where you're from......

I woke up with a strong guy-feeling that Kurt Coleman is going to have a big game.
Just thought I'd share.

Cam Newton wins AP OPOY and AP MVP awards. Riverboat Ron wins Coach of the Year. Well deserved. Gonna cap it off with a Super Bowl win tomorrow.

Is a strong guy-feeling what happens when two men decide they want to have a baby together?

Ha! Perhaps.
I can't get used to the iPhone keyboard.

This is going to be a long day. Like, that Christmas when I couldn't open any presents until my slow, old grandparents made it over to the house.
It's game day, boys!!!!

Hope they can seal the deal on this magical season. Go Panthers!

In the event of a loss, I'll still take some solace in the fact of our having gotten to the game's biggest stage and in Manning closing on a winning note, but it sure will be disappointing. So disappointing, in fact, it's hard for me to believe it will even happen. Honestly, I've been trying to visualize what a Panthers' loss would look like, and I just can't see it. Like, I just don't see it happening. This season has had too much storybook, too much destiny written all over it, especially with the connections to the '85 Bears. It just feels like destiny. Hard to imagine we can lose.

I'm predicting a Panthers defensive TD in the first quarter. Panthers will be up 14-0 after the first quarter and the game will never be in question.
