Keep in mind that in the last two weeks, they've faced two of the top four or five QBs in the game. And won.
i'm very excited about the prospects for this team.
and i for one am happy that if nothing else we own the tie breaker with GB so we improve our chances of not having to go up there.
that said, i'll be rooting for everyone against them now.
i just assume GB and Seattle not make the playoffs.
and i'd be ok with the Patriots losing in the playoffs.
This, along with Norwell returning (although Silatolu has done an admirable job in his stead), will be a huge boost to the team. Pass rush has been excellent, but adding CJ to the mix increases the number of guys we can rotate in, which will go a long way in the playoffs.
getting healthy at the right time.....huge. if they can generate pass rush with the folks they trotted out there the last twoo weeks, add CJ back in....get Norwell back on the O line....
nothing but good things.
the biggest thing this team needs to work on.....
1. must win more on 1st down...2nd and 8 or 9 too much catches up to you.
2. red zone efficiency. we do ok inside the 5. past that, we really struggle in tight spaces. this is where we miss KB...
3. don't get cute. do what you do. what was that Joe Webb play all about? fail.
4. a lot like our offense, mis direction for short/medium yardage can go a long way with how many looks we can give you in a run formation.
5. move the pocket. Cam does a little better when can shift to either side, usually his right, and find the open guy. straight drops are not his best.
one thing i'll also give credit to is how much more involved Cam is at the line in making changes, audibling etc...and most of the time, he's making the right call.
i almost get a little nervous if he doesn't make a change now!! lol.
