Carolina Panthers Hire Brady Hoke

So with all the coaches we use to have under Butch Jones getting other jobs. Does that mean UT is off the hook for most of their money they owe them?

I think so except the one coach that hasn't been hired that we owe the most money too and it looks like nobody wants that last coach. And I don't blame them.

Good luck Brady. I'm still shocked he left out west to come coach for Butch in the first place. Butch must have promised him playing time too.

I don't blame Butch for not working, either. If I got fired and didn't have to work right away and could still get paid and wait for the kind of opportunity I really wanted, I'd do the same thing. 99% of the people here would, too. Both sides signed the contract.

Weird how he's the only one not seeming to get any decent looks up to this point. We shouldn't be so bitter towards the poor guy.

As your name suggests, I agree God forgives but VolNation does not. I don't feel any sympathy for Butch. He signed up for the money and pressure. He couldn't handle the pressure but is still handling the money.

Regarding the Panthers, I'm don't think Cam will ever get us there. On a positive note, Graham Gano won the kicker challenge after interviewing for his job at the beggining of the season. Cool story.

Yeah the bad thing about that is the AD (Dave Hart) is no longer here. Thank goodness. I see Butch going to a lower lever like Kiffin did. That's the only way he will be a head coach again. But then again the Cowboys were dumb enough to hire Dooley as a WRs coach. Now Missouri has Dooley as the OC.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Butch get a head coaching job at a non-P5 conference school. He did a lot of good things here and some will cut him some slack because of all the injuries we had the past 2 seasons. His previous record at C. Michigan and Cincy will also help him. I wouldn't be surprised if he is successful somewhere else. It just didn't work out for him here.

I think he should go back to Band Camp!

But, but UT fans were scared Michigan was going to hire him after the '14 season...:loco::loco::loco:

He was requested to interview with Oregon State but he declined the interview. I sure hope he isn't waiting on a Power 5 school to hire him. He should land at Western Kentucky or Akron. Then after a successful gig there he may get a job at K State or Wake Forest.

Though I am not too happy with Butch anymore, I still won't put him in the same catagory with Dooley. When I heard HS coaches had so little communication with the Tennessee program, that was just poor planning and laziness, IMO. Hate him for other stuff, but not for being a lazy recruiter.

I wouldn't be surprised if Butch gets an assistant coaching job in the power 5 eventually. But trying to figure out why the Hell Missouri wanted Dooley? I waited for hours for someone to scream April Fools when that was announced, but it never happened.

So it seemed. But I feel his biggest failing was letting players convince him to fire his S&C coach. When that is followed by two years of injuries on top of injuries, that doesn't seem like a coincidence.
