They have a new 3 hours show on 104.5 from 12-3. The crew includes Blaine Bishop and Clay Travis. Yesterday they had a excellent inteview with Carl.
He said when the X thing went down that he text Hammy letting him know that he was interested in being position coach.
Said he has been coaching at a few camps and liked working with the younger kids.

I really like their show it's probably the best in the Nashville area.

Pickens said he sent Hamilton a text, about being the WR coach and Hamilton never replied to him. I thought that was interesting.

Is anybody actually mad that Pickens wasn't considered???

I mean - he has no coaching experience except some "camps". No high school, small college or anything?

And, he announces his interest in a text message... classy.

Count me as someone who is happy we got a guy that has actually coached college and NFL wide receivers.

I am not mad he wasn't considered, but if it's true that Hamilton did not even respond to his text I think that is pretty crappy by Hamilton.

I do like seeing guys who love this university so much that they would like to come in and help out.

Not upset at all that Hamilton didn't hire or even consider Pickens but he might have handled it a little better by at least responding.

I think Carl should have sent a formal letter instead of a text if he was that interested. It's more professional. Think about it this way, if you wanted to apply to a big company or firm, you wouldn't send the boss a text would you? Just a thought.

If he wants to be a Grad Assistant, that would be cool. He is obviously close enough with Hammy to have his number and send him a text message.

Not me. I tried it Monday and Tuesday and I just didn't care for them. I may give them another try one of these days, but I prefer Thom Abraham on 560 AM for the lunch time talk show in Nashville. The wake-up zone with Mark Howard, Frank Wycheck, and Kevin Ingram is the best in Nashville in my opinion.

Abraham has his own style, to me he is kind of like Rome and Dan Patrick, either you love it or hate it, and i hate it. I would like the morning show but Mark Howard bugs the hell out of me, I can't stomach him.

I can understand that with Abraham. I wasn't sure about him when he first started at noon, but I've sort of grown into enjoying his show as a result of being the only local one available for so long at that time slot. I hate the Rome and Patrick shows. I'm glad they got rid of Rome even if I never listen to Clay and Blaine.

I agree on Howard. I try to ignore him. Wycheck and Ingram are the ones that make that show. Don't tell Howard though, because he thinks he's God's gift to sports talk. I loved the morning when Wycheck went off on Howard. It was so bad that he apologized on air the following morning.

Wycheck and Howard are ok. Have you ever tried those 2 morons on 560 in the morning?
