I am surprised that more pedestrians and those idiots on scooters don't get killed more down there. People will walk right out onto the street and expect people to stop and those scooter idiots snake in and out of traffic with no respect for traffic laws.

I almost run over a senior or disabled person on a Rascal or motorized wheelchair almost ever day going to work. They are everywhere.

Give me a break.... Phil doesn't hold their hand for life does he... If this was serious comment, it's one of the dumbest I've seen on this site.

I am not a CPF die hard or hater. I think that it is time for all Vols fans to stop bashing the Old Ball Coach. I agree with most, the past few years have been rough and although CPF was the leader, he was not on the field making the dumb mistakes. Let's try to remember all the great things that this man did for our Vols and the state of TN. A true fan cannot deny that this man has bled Orange longer than most of the haters have been alive and truly loves TN. To blame him for a grown mans actions, that is unfair and uncalled for.

A very sad story and no attempt at sarcastic humor is necessary with an accident such as this.

Sad story.

Was the pedestrian a homeless person by chance? I've noticed a lot living in big cities in the southern U.S where its warmer.

Apparently the victim had just finished working the late shift and was headed to the bus stop to get home.

The article in Tampa said Donte was in his Bentley. Did not say if the person was homeless but I was thinking the same thing. Feelings and tragedy aside, I hope Donte has plenty of insurance for this or someone may take him way down in a civil. Would be another tragedy as this was clearly an accident.

Hey guys, I am a UT Alum living in Chicago and I just came across this article not only about Stallworth, but how it is just another incident in a very sad line of recent tragedies. The author seems to be a big UT fan, so he is not dissing UT but merely stating the facts. This truly is a sad event and an even sadder one for UT fans. Let's hope our basketball team can help shed some positive light in the upcoming week.

He was a great player at UT...anyone from the UT family in any trouble is sad.
I hope it was an unfortunate accident. I feel sorry for both families.

let's not pass judgements on anyone until the whole story is out. Jokes are not the way to go.

A very powerful article,,,, The list is a long one. I think CLK is cleaning this up and I have to believe it was a subject discussed even before he was hired as a priority of the University.

Having said that, These crimes were committed when these men were adults, so don't see where UT fits in excepting the character issue and the type of men Uncle Phil recruited.

This sucks. But I don't see how what a former athlete does now is a reflection on Tennessee? This isn't a black eye for our university.
