I guess it's what out of towners call the sun sphere

I believe it was built to commemorate the worlds fair that came to Kville back in the day...like the early 80's. It along with the park there is pretty cool. Took the kids out there and let them play. We had a blast! But I can tell you that you wouldnt want to be sitting on top of it.
