With a top offensive coach like Kiffin working with him, crompton should be a lot better than last year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the offense as a whole sucked last year. And, it doesn't help much that he (Crompton) has had multiple coordinators since joining UT. I'm not saying the kid is going to be great this year or anything, but I don't want to see any of you haters jumping on his jock if he is. I don't like the way things have gone, but I'm not gonna kick the kid while he's down......I think we all want to win, so we should try to focus on the positive now....New coaches with a new mindset.

I wished you guys would let up on Crompton a little bit. He was a starter last year for the first time on an offense where nobody done anything. None of the offensive linemen could block, the running backs couldnt see a hole (mainly because there wasnt one) the receivers couldnt run a route or block down field and everybody gets a pass because of the new offense except for Crompton?? It starts up front. It aint like he had all the time in the world to find someone. He was running for his life most of the time and how many times did our receivers get separation? Probably twice the entire season. I just think it's a little unfair with everybody on here being so hard on him and blaming the previous coaches for not coaching the players up but yet when it comes to Crompton, there is nothing but harsh criticism.

The biggest reason I feel that JC will not and should not see the field next year is he is a 5th year senior who has yet to prove anything. The next reason is why give a QB with 1 year left when you could be grooming one of the other QB's experience to help you out in 2010. I for one would not want to start 2010 with a freshmen QB when we could have someone with more game experience on the team. The Gators will be coming into Neyland in 2010 the 3rd game and we need some sort of tried and trued experience at QB for that game.
