do a little trolling.

Found this little jewel on a UCLA board and thought it was interesting....

*Will NC rely more on a running game against UT at Nyland?* Can he risk an early intercept>TD in front of 104,000 orange-clad Vol fans by our young QB's? If our stronger OL can establish a minimal run game early, wouldn't that keep us closer to UT? They'll probably stack the line (exposing our weakness), but a punting duel is better than an early run-away.

Remember what happened to Kal in '07 at Nyland Stadium.

A response....

The VOLS with their new coach will make quick work of us...particularly if Craft is forced to do the same pro style crap again instead of letting him do stuff he CAN do...like be a part of fast moving spread option attack.....

According to Rick unles he is lying ...that type of O ain't gonna happen here at UCLA unless it is in the realm of a gadget play....

..the Vols entire coaching staff must have loved reading that interview....since this means we are rolling out the exact team of 2008 except it is now depleted of some very good players who struggled in our system....We have now told the enemy exactly what to expect and what we won't try...and now with this dreary spring camp about to end (even WORSE than last year's spring camp and resembling MORE the Dawn of the Dead fall camp of 2008)..the entire world can see us for what we are...an even more watered down version of 2008.

Persuade me that I got this wrong but if you have not read that article..then you should. None of this bodes well for the 2009 season and we will probably get our clocks rung on national TV by the VOLS....

P.S. - Anyone know where Nyland Stadium is?

wow, judging by the complete lack of knowledge about tennessee and the persistent negative attitude towards their own team...i think you stumbled upon the ucla board that is run by tafka in his off time, he is the administrator and he makes all of the posts under different names because no-one else has actually joined the board.

this is some interesting insight from the enemy. having said that, I do not believe they will force their QB to do things he can't do. They will give their team the best shot at a win and go with that.

You know what's funny, I remember looking at UCLA message boards on good ole AOL 11 years ago during the '98 season, when UCLA and UT were both undefeated, and the UCLA fans then were so realistic too.

They were saying stuff after every week like, "If our defense doesn't start playing better, we're not gonna win a title this year..." or "Man, that was an ugly win last week. Or defense NEEEDS to get it together!"

Pretty interesting how things never change.:)

Why does UCLA have so many injuries in spring ball? This is two years in a row. It makes you wonder about their conditioning program.

i'm still amazed that we lost to ucla last year. i would almost go as far to say that it was nearly up there with the wyoming loss

Are all UCLA fans that realistic? We have our fair share of realistic fans and we have our share of Kool-Aid drinkers too

I am too, made me sick to my stomach and we didn't lose because they were better. We lost because we were outcoached which was horrible.

I agree; it was very embarrassing. Especially when you factor in how many interceptions they threw during the game!
