Cant Believe So Many Tickets Are Still Available

The student tickets are half the story. The other part is that, per SEC rules, Kentucky received 9,500 tickets in their allotment. They sold 3,300 and returned the rest last month.

That's one of the big reasons we (and the other schools in the conference) have struggled to sell out in recent years. Visiting teams are not traveling fans. In the last two years, only one team has bought their full visitor allotment, and that was Alabama this year. Every other school has returned at least 1,000 tickets. Usually more.

This year KY doesn't have to travel... I have a feeling the city of ALCOA will be loud and proud in BLUE in the stands... probably scattered throughout the UT sections.

I'm sure Rae Sykes and Jaron Toney appreciate that

Why would they do that? You don't change allegiance because a guy decided to go to Kentucky..

yep. I'm 48. We're not under the overhang so we'll be able to see the jumbotron. We will have sun in our face though. I'll suffer thru with Sec D tix

I was wondering if we would see the jumbo from that row...I knew it would be close. I wasn't too worried about it either way.

I was dead set on just going down to Neyland Saturday and scalping tickets but gave UTTIX one final look...I was pleasantly surprised to see that Section D came available.

MAN, I wish I was still in NW GA. I would slap my MOTHER to be able to be at this game (of course, with orange body paint applied, yelling my fool head off, and my butt NEVER touching my seat). However, I have to be at a funeral on Saturday and am currently on my way to MO from TX for that reason.

I AM, however, planning on taking my R&R leave so that it coincides with a UT home game next year.

I was looking earlier today and it was giving me Sec G under the overhang. No chance at all of seeing the jumbotron. It also gave me ZZ14 in the seat back chairs. Sure its high but it aint bleachers. Couldnt talk my buddies into pulling the trigger. On a whim tonite looked again and that's when the sec Ds were coming up. Jumped on it.

If it wasn't a noon game I would be there. I have an exam tomorrow afternoon and will not be able to get home until tomorrow night. Therefore giving me merely on Thursday and half of Friday to turn around and make the drive back to Knoxville to make it to the game. It just isn't logistical as bad as I want to be there
