Cant beat anyone without a QB

Wanna see really good QB play?

Watch a game when Tennessee goes up against an opposing QB with little to no prior playing time who is a true freshman, a back-up, or an unknown walk-on. Guaranteed we’ll give up many 3rd-and-long plays, commit ill-timed (and pointless) penalties to extend his drives, and otherwise screw up enough to give him confidence and momentum to have a great game.
We can’t even begin to defend a slant or cover on the deep throws. TN has a way of always making a backup or a walk-on into a heisman candidate

No it isn't, maybe against the elite but we don't play elite every week. What part of that can't you understand. That isn't the normal game for him. If you want to qualify it with against elite teams then that changes the qualifiers but that's not the argument you laid out.
JG is decent against the really bad teams and homers like you buy the fools gold every season. That's reality

When the QB doesn't play well, the offense doesn't play well. When the offense doesn't play well, eventually the defense stops playing well and the game collapses. We've seen it time and time and time and time and time again. Against equal, or lesser teams, JG can put a good game together and we usually pull out a win. Against better teams, JG stinks it up making freshman mistakes and turning the ball over as a 5th year QB. Pruitt needs to read the writing on the wall, bench JG and start developing the younger QBs.

this should be obvious to anyone with any sort of intelligence whatsoever. You’ve had 3 years to figure this out. It was obvious when Butch Jones was coach, and it was still obvious today....

I'm not a homer I'm just trying to figure out if A) JG is the best option or B)Pruitt is incapable of either recruiting or developing better options or C) He is incompetent and plays an inferior qb when better options are on the roster.

I seriously don't know the answer but it is one of those three options. It's easy to say JG isn't good enough but the question is are the others better than him. Which option is correct? My problem with all those scenarios is they all point to an issue with the coaching staff.

I think it's safe to say that there is without a doubt, some level of incompetence contributing to the fact that in this HC's third season, we are still without an actual starting or backup QB.

I want to be on board and maybe this staff does have it. But I must admit I am starting to have doubts.

Maybe Pruitt is too hands off on the offense? Maybe Chaney, Weinke, and Tee can't get on the same page and don't work well together?

Ultimately it falls on Pruitt as the HC who hired them, and is responsible for the program as a whole, but he won't get the chance for another extension if he doesn't figure out how to develop a QB.

Only fault I lay at Pruitts feet is being stubborn about playing JG

We lost the battle in the trenches because we dont have a threat at QB. Plain and simple

Kirby stacked the box and dared JG to beat him. It was done at that moment. JG made the first fumble and he was done.

He seems like a great kid, but he cant handle the pressures of the game when something goes bad. Adversity gets the best of him. He cant perform when the chips are down

Hes a 5th year senior playing like a true freshman

Pruitt needs to recognize this and pull the plug on JG.

Our other players deserve a leader that elevates the team and not one thats a constant liability

The rest of the team played well, especially the D. But the just couldnt keep up while being put in bad sitiations because of JG

JG is our Achilles Heel
I've said same thing. You cant say our oline suck with all the dang 5 star talent on it. May's sure as hell showed out at uga. Now he sux too, right??. No its fact folks load box and dare jg to best them. Hell Mizzou did same thing last week. Difference was they are not number 4team in country...we need an elite qb....jg is what he has been his whole career. He is a great representative of our university though!!
