Candidate for Forward Progress

I would have never called this forward progress either, but keeping in line with the hose job and being the same line judge was right there, where was it on this play?

Bad example as our defenders somehow thought this massive tight end would just stop playing. Pitiful.

Thought the exact same thing. Ridiculous. Just terrible officiating all around. Like 6 PI's called against us but nary a 1 against them. And no holding penalties that I recall, despite three very blatant missed ones.

Forward Progress seems redundant to me, but Backward Progress is a contradiction in terms.
And that was some piss-poor tackling by the defense.

Early in the game there were two of their guys holding one of ours. No call. He couldn't move to the QB because these two guys were holding him - fully behind him. I describe it poorly, but, you get the picture! 😁

Honestly that was just good hard playing by the TE. He wasn't really wrapped up fighting for yards and those D guys never really stopped his momentum. He pretty much spun out of the piss poor tackling...
I need to go and find a video of our last play at the goal line

Everybody holds but they sure didn't seem to think Perdue guys did. Way too many flags last night on the D side of the ball against us yesterday and they hold Purdue did was obvious
One thing for sure there are 2, possibly 3 DBs that shouldn't see the field for UT next season.

Sorry, but no comparison. In this example, the ball carrier is still running, moving laterally by choice, and still not under the control of any defender.

While I agree it was a bad call (unless there is a rule stipulation that we haven't been informed of) none of the above can be said of Wright's play on the goal line.
