Canadian Feds are not helping. Sounds like other Canadian provinces are weighing secession as well. Fed's response seems to be, "If you don't like Canada, leave. But you're not taking your land with you."

Canada's bluster about turning their back on the US as a partner included some quiet-begging for Europe to step in and cover some of their defense budget, I do believe. I'm not sure they are in a place to cause a lot of problems. (This not to mention that Carney immediately welched on that bluster and called Trump immediately.)

If a Canadian province voted for and claimed secession from Canada, and the US felt that it was to the US's benefit, then all that would need to happen would be for the US to publicly recognize the province as its own country, and begin trade/diplomatic ties with them. I'm not sure Canada would have the footing to force that issue.

Yep, it shows the hypocrisy of the left, one of many of the left's hypocrisies. You honestly think those leaders are going to alter their lifestyle or give any true sacrifice?. They'll continue to receive money from the oil companies etc etc. While they'll tax the crap out of Canadians.
It's like AOC and Bernie, who are millionaires, making anti-america, anti-capitalistic speeches to a bunch of emotionally charged and logically ignorant babies.
