Yes, direct threats or increment of violence. Not stating an opinion about what is sin.

You repeat the oft expressed lie that there are “hate speech” exceptions to the first amendment. There are no such things anywhere apart from you poor addled mind.

So…..why do you never answer the questions posed to you? Would you be okay with me deciding if your anti Trump statements were motivated by extreme hate?

I bet you are fine with people judging the intent of speech by your opponents but not so keen if someone on the other side got to judge yours. Am I right?

Because you were black-and-white wrong and you keep trying to word salad your way out of it. We have judges that determine intent, which you just learned today, and we have exceptions to "free speech" as well. Keep whining though

This law will go completely against christians. They will never prosecute a Muslim for making remarks about sodomites. Just like all cultural laws, it is biased against Christians. Anyone who can't see this is very stupid

Hatred is not illegal. You seem to be quite full of hatred for a particular political individual. And you promote that hatred here all day long. And that is perfectly fine with me. We in the civilized world don’t punish thought.

Free speech should never even have to be used as a defense because there is no crime in stating a nonviolent opinion.
Free speech is free speech. I could say I hate you. (I don’t btw). Is that willful promotion of hatred? Should I have to go to court to convince a judge that it isn’t.

Not that I actually expect you to answer that of course 🙄

This law would be more like if you're already in trouble for promoting hate, you can't use "well Trump said it was okay" as a defense. That nonsense tweet about "quoting scripture" was BS

I guarantee you that within six months of this law becoming effective that some street preacher in Canada will be prosecuted and found guilty for merely quoting Romans 1 to passers by on a street corner. Book it.

Since, again, the law already exists, that would mean that said street preacher is already getting prosecuted and is getting off by using religion as a defense. Is that happening?

Lots of bad laws exist. In the Third Reich, it was illegal to hide a Jew. Look up how it was enforced.

David Lynn: A Toronto-based street preacher was arrested in the UK in 2018 for allegedly making homophobic comments
