Can you say complete team performance?

This is the game we have been looking for. JP, Tyler, Big Wayne, BMaze all contributed in a HUGE way. You can't pick one of those as the MVP because they all were.

Yeah, there were spots here and there in the game where we could've played better and droughts which we could've ended sooner, but this is the first big team performance I have seen in a while. This game may define our season.

far from a complete team performance. Maze and JP Prince willed this team to victory. Everyone else did just enough.

Good post. While they have played against and beaten much better teams, a road win in Arkansas is always a nice thing to have in the bag. Add to it that we had some players step up that have been struggling and played some pretty smart basketball down the stretch, and it was a great night for the Vols.

No it wasn't.

I shouldn't say "complete", but this is the best team performance we have seen thus far in the season IMO.

If that's the game we're looking for, the Vols probably won't win another conference game. Except maybe against Georgia.

What's the scoop on Auburn? I've not seen them play this year. How do we match-up?

Why in the world can't we stop guards from hitting layups over our big men? My gosh, that is frustrating to give that up time and time again.

Small team - has a bunch of tough players though - they shoot the 3 a lot... and when they do it well they can be a decent threat to pull an upset. They beat Arkansas on the road by 20.

J.P. Prince played his best game of the season by far.

Chism had a few dumb turnovers.

Tyler Smith played some suspect D but was clutch on O.

Courtney Fortson is a Freak.

Maze had 3 big 3's and was money at the end.

And Ted Valentine is the worst official in the NCAA.

I think the UF game was the best "team performance" IMO

It could've been, but we weren't in the same close game situation where we were today. I think it's easier to hang on to a lead at home than it is to grind out a close win on the road.

The fact that we always had a player step up down the stretch, and usually not the same one, proves that this team is showing signs of improvement.

Good post. You have covered it well.

Far from a complete team game. Had we gotten any production from Hopson or Tatum, we win by 20.

Prince attacked the basket and made things happen. Hopefully, he now gets it that he's not a 3 point shooter, but a slasher.

Maze came up big.

Tyler and Chism dominated in the paint when they had the ball, which wasn't enough IMO. We still jack up 3 after 3 after 3.

Tabb was inept.

Why does Pearl get PT ahead of Childress?

yea defeitely would have been nice to have seen more from hopson and tatum. tatum had a nice first half with a couple 3's but hopson outside of his nice dunk didnt do much. i thought he played good D but it seemed like once he missed his first 2 shots he became gun shy and was done shooting. he needs to realize your gonna miss, and that you wont shoot 100% and that even when you miss you cant get down and must be more aggresive, i thought he had realized that, guess not.

the guy was unbelievable, some of those shots were pretty lucky but still. Him and welsh killed us (2 guards), why are ourguards so incapable ofplaying D.It seems everyone else has realy stepped up their D but not the guards, especially our pg.

What the crap are you smoking?

Courtney Fortson, though he has a girly name and hair cut, played like a MAN tonight. I don't think you can say he's garbage. He's the only reason Arkansas was in the game.
He is also THE reason that Auburn beat the living hell out of them last weekend.
