We are bringing my 10 year old daughter with us to the game Saturday. Do they allow blankets inside the stadium? Looks like it's gonna be a cold one.

Had a Wisconsin student give me some advice once. Bring in 2 pieces of cardboard from a cardboard box. One to stand on and one to sit on. The cardboard has air pockets in it and those will provide extra insulation from the cold concrete and steel you’re always touching.

My two cents:
My recommendation is to not take one of the newer fleece blankets that doesn't block the wind. Wind is a changer when it comes to retaining heat. One of the coldest events in my life was the Notre Dame game back in the early 1990's. I think it was in the 30's than day and cloudy. I had on insulated underwear (top and bottom), blue jeans, and a hooded sweatshirt. I was warm until about half way through the first quarter. After that, I shivered the rest the game. It reminds me of the fishing adage is "It's 10 degrees cooler out on the water". We'll. it's 10 degrees cooler in the stadium standing still and/or sitting on the metal bleachers. Over prepare. If your daughter gets cold, she'll lose interest in the game and you might end up watching on the monitors by the concession counter.

This is why you don't schedule games at night in November. And why you don't cede control of kick times to the SEC and its TV masters. Yes, it's cold in the daytime too, but the radiant heat of sun shining on you helps.

The old Army wool blankets, even the newer ones that are 80% wool, are quite warm . . . and instead of "cardboard" to sit on, go the hunting section of your local outfitter and get the foam "turkey" seats, very warm for your tush!! Oh, the suggestion of the hand warmers is golden . . .

Have fun!!!

Go Vols!!

Not sure you have room to fit even a thin blanket between you and the next person at Neyland with their "3 persons per linear yard" seating :p
I'm pretty h sure the people sitting next to you without blankets will share yours.

"It's gonna be a cold one"...Sigh, I wish we had a few "cold ones" in the first week of November in my neck of the woods.
