Can we win out?

Consider:

Tennessee: 3-4, 1-3 SEC

Kentucky: 4-3, 2-3 SEC
South Carolina: 3-4, 1-4 SEC
Missouri: 4-4, 1-4 SEC
Vanderbilt: 3-4, 1-3 SEC

So what do you think? If we knock off Kentucky it should be smooth sailing. But it ain't over 'till it's over. Go Vols! Keep your foot on the gas and don't let up!

P.S. We are trending up, Missouri is in a death spiral, and Vanderbilt has a brutal schedule the rest of the way so there's that.

Even though schedule doesn't show it UT is better than all those. All of those played extremely easy schedules.

UK still has UGA
SC still has to play A&M UF and Clemson
Mizz May not win another game all year
Vandy well is still Vandy. Their big win is against a team who may go 4-8

Yep. Tennessee hasn't lost a single game by more than 7 points this year, and those were pretty decent opponents they faced. If they bring their A game they should win out.

Our losses are to four teams with a combined record of 22-7.
Take away the Arky loss (3-4) and it's 19-3.
Games to go are to teams with a combined record of 14 Wins 22 Losses.
(North Texas is winless)
I like our chances.

Most certainly, we can win out. In fact, odds are that we will (52%, according to ESPN FPI).

After we beat Kentucky this weekend, odds of winning out go up to 64%.
After we beat USCe, the chances go up to 71%.
Once we've beaten Mizzou, we're up to 91%.

Go Vols! :)

We have already had a CRAP year, period. Four big "L"s is four too many, against real teams. Now we have CBJ's fan boys dancing around, trying to convince themselves that the rest of season (against less than powerhouse teams) is a "good indication" of the direction our team, under CBJ's "leadership" is headed. There will be a demonstration of a lack of accountability by many, if we don't win out. The Fan Boys will have a million excuses, "next year will be the year, CBJ is the greatest man to ever live, Brick by brick and the list will go on and on. But what we will not hear much if any, will be those that predicted the win out, saying, "...I was wrong CBJ isn't the greatest man to ever live....". They just can't bring themselves to ever admit they may have had too much kool aid to drink, and that our team needs Adult Leadership.

I feel good for you that you had the chance to get that off your chest.

VolNation serves all of us, in many different ways.

If we don't win out it will be on the coaching entirely. We are more talented overall on paper than all of the teams left on our schedule. On paper, we should win out, but that's why the games are played on the field.

missouri gets maty mauk back
