Can we stay on top in recruiting?

Look at who we are likely to get from here on out...Mosley, Barnett, Hendrix, Berry1, Berry2, Mclisse...

These guys commit and that's a full 30 recruit class. Add these guys to our current class (and assuming every else stays committed) I think we finish around 7th. And I am okay with it. I know we, as Vol fans, demand a lot... but compared to what we've had for the last few years a tMop 10 recruiting class full of 4* guys with a coach that gets it...we are looking pretty.

Remember, Urban Meyer (who runs a similar scheme at CBJ if you ask me) took a losing record OSU team and went undefeated in his first year. Who knows what will happen in 2013!

I like that list, but it would be nice to add one more corner like Adoree or a receiver like Malone. I would take them over the linebacker McGlisse.

Agreed. I think Powell's spot will be reserved for highest rated recruit regardless of position.

Personally, I don't think Hurd gets that 5th star. I know a lot of people will not like to hear that, but I just don't see it happening. He committed early, plays in TN, didn't camp and has been the highest rated 4* for months. Just my two cents.

See Hurd thread. You might change ya tune about that.

I don't see UT at the top on NSD. But, I do believe they will remain very high in the rankings.

I think Hurd will get the bump. Also, the Vols should benefit from the addition of 2+ more 4*s, a bump of one or more 3* commits and potentially some positive movement for UT recruits in the Rivals Top 250.

Come Feb., my projection is that the Vols will have one or two 5* and fourteen or more 4*s and Butch will be talking to ESPN about their Top 5 class.

Positive. Optimistic. Reasonable. Likely.

If we finish in the top 10 (which I know we will) I will be happier than a frog in a manure garden.

If we finish in the Top 10, which I think we certainly will, I'll be happy as a pig in mud. If not, I'll be madder than a mosquitoe in a mannequin factory ....

There isn't a better HS RB than Hurd.
Period.

I tell you what I'm beggining to think we will stay up close to the top. At one time everybody was saying we would fall back to 8th or 9th I just don't see it, I think we stay top 5 and quite possibly top 3 recruiting is still fluid until the fax lady sings!!! GO VOLS!!
