I'd just like to see Fulmer at least pursue a few elite coaches. Petersen, Leach, Frost, etc. If we're going to settle for someone like Miles, Doreen, or Steele whatever but at least make a run at someone that's not just status quo mediocre. In other words I want to see what Fulmer can do here. Hell reach out to Malzahn's reps.

Miles, Steele, Doreen I don't see as better than Butch. Les could've been hamstrung by his AD though.

Leach an elite coach? Nah... Never averaged over 8-9 wins. Only one 10+ win season in his career.

Only one name you mentioned has ever won a championship.

Either everyone boycott the vols completely until Davenport and the rest of them or gone, or nothing will change. It's that simple. DRAIN THE SWAMP!!

If I had to guess, AD Fulmer said we're committed to getting the best coach to help us win championships with the blessings of Chancellor Davenport and President DiPietro approving a quality hire to get it done.

Lol. With even talent, Leach would beat the living hell out of Miles. He's been at two of the worst programs and still managed to terrify the elite programs forced to pay him. Leach scares rivals more than any other coach IMO. He has huge risk/reward though.

Is leach the one that locked the player in a locker or something a few years ago?

Damn straight! On the graph of performance vs capital(recruited talent), Leach is a superstar. He's been relegated to Lubbock and Pullman because of his physical appearance (always looks like he needs a haircut, unlike most coaches who seemingly hit the barber shop weekly) and his quirky personality.

I don't give a damn what he looks like, and I find his personality to be refreshing for a coach. But even if I didn't, I would still recognize that a Leach team stacked with top 5 and 10 classes would scare the living hell out of all of our rivals.

when he was a ttu i think it was an assistant that alledgedly locked craig james son in a closet. Petersen just mopped the floor with leach, i think hes a tier 2 head coach. Never won a conference championship any where hes been. Dont know if he would fit in here.

He claimed it was because the player was complaining of a concussion and the medical staff recommended he not be around light.

Seems plausible enough for me to believe him.

Is it me or in the press conference did Davenport look woefully unqualified to hold the position that she does?

1) Anyone that takes issue with the Craig James deal just research it. Total BS that the kid didn't even think was a big deal.

2)Petersen would mop the floor with any coach with equal talent.

3)Leach has never coached at an even decent program. That's like winning 8 or 9 games at Vanderbilt consistently and knocking off Bama, Georgia or Florida every once in a while. And then you say he's never a conference title, lol?Leach has beaten a lot of elite teams with 2&3 star talent.

Yes, Peterson did mop the floor with him, but lets keep in mind a few things here:

1) Peterson is an elite coach
2) UW has far better talent than the 2/3 star players in Pullman
3) I was at the Apple Cup and the weather sucked. It was wet and cold, which is pretty terrible for an air raid offense

I think Leach laid an egg in that game, so I wouldn't read too much into it. He is definitively a good coach and with 4 start talent his offense could be something to watch.

With all this said I think the bridge is likely burnt here. Not sure if I would trust the Administration after they sent someone to offer me a job and then fired the guy who did it

What influence? This program is in shambles, this has been a disaster.
