Can we lay to rest the...

I didnt represent anything, I said I didnt like the comments which is my opinion.

Several of the worst performances followed those comments...and wasnt popular opinion on those performances that players quit? Sorry I lose track of all the excuses used to explains Pruitt's team poor performances.
As well as 2 of the best 3.
It's like after SC and UK they had a team meeting and said "oh yeah! Dont yall remember the coach said we all sucked during the Bama game, we should have quit on him already". Lol

You lost track of that one because you were claiming he said something he never said and that message was to the entire team which it wasn't and the quote was provided for that. You fabricated an idea to feel better about your opinion. As I stated before your "agenda" is noted.

Ok, I didnt say anything about their record, I said they look like trash in 9 of 11 games. Had they looked good in most games only losing by a score or two in most then my opinion of his first year would be different. They didnt.
So they looked like trash against ETSU and UTEP?

“It’s easy to dominate with 5 stars at every position” bullcrap that some people love to say when discussing Pruitt’s body of work. Bama’s defense has looked like Swiss cheese with those same players. Matter of fact Pruitt was down pretty much all of his linebackers towards the end of the year last year. We have our football coach, let’s let him coach
Beat me too it. Shows what actually CJP did at Bama the past few years. The D for them has been out of position and shaky at times and it was especially noticeable last night after the first few plays of the NC game.

Clemson does quality over quantity. They recruit like Bama they just take way less players so the class rank is lower. Their star average is always very high.

The only thing this shows is what Saban learned a couple years ago and I hope Pruitt learned last year.
You don't win running the ball and playing ball control offense. You have to open it up and pass the damn ball.

That's the thing that has me really concerned about this OC search. The game has changed pretty drastically the last 10 years.

Ball control didnt mean jack last night. At one point in the 1st half, Bama was up in TOP 14 minutes to 5 minutes and down 12 points.

I think the OC hire will show whether Pruitt and Fulmer have figured that out or not.

That's not true.

Until the last couple years, Clemson has been winning 10+ games per year for the past 8 years recruiting with a quality similar to that of Tennessee recruiting.

It has only been for the past couple years that they have recruited with a player quality (avg recruit score) on par with Alabama.

I agree. In the sec ball and clock control have been ingrained in our minds. Last night Clemsons defense didn't skip a beat.

Not at all it actually makes my point.
You feel the need to remind the board almost daily that UT had 2 organized and motivated games out of 12 (while not mentioning their actual record unless its brought up).

But when that's defined as catastrophic you pause.
Im replying to a brand new thread that somehow , even though UT didnt play last night the game proven cjp to be a good coach.

I dont need to define catastrophic as I never used the word.

Not much worse than ours obviously. What's Kentucky's and Auburn's? But neither one of those wins were good coaching right?

Man you might as well give up it's like arguing with a sign post. I think this is all he has to do.

Best I remember utep was worse than etsu. Etsu was pretty bad in the first quarter then got better. Utep was bad .
You know that top notch qb we got? He barely got over 150 yards in both.

Technically the OP didn't say the game last night proved Pruitt was a good coach, he just said "we have our football coach, let's let him coach". That bothered you then you did you. No big deal.

So how was something, concerning trnnessee, laid to rest last night and how is anyone on the internet stoppping CJP from coaching?

I see. Just making sure you spread the 2 and 9 numbers to every thread evenly.

Why stop there? Pruitt never claimed his players "sucked" that didn't cause refrain.

Bama was due a stinker. The best part about last night is if you get pressure on Tua you have a chance to rattle him. Hurts would of been a better option after halftime i thought. I hope he transfers, just so they don't have that luxury anymore.

I agree, and if you put pressure on any QB they can be rattled. Also football has momentum swings. And I think it really changed pretty early in the game when bama had Clemson 3rd and long and instead of pressuring the QB used a 3 man rush, and he had plenty of time to throw, he completed a long pass and totally changed the momentum of the game. Up till then bama was totally shutting Clemson down. That one play in my opinion changed the rest of the game.

He asked if it could be laid to rest. I understood it to mean that the claim anyone could coach the God-Like talent at Alabama and that Pruitt might not be as good of a DC as everyone thinks, might not be true. And he thinks we have our Football coach.

As far as "let him coach", um, yea that's just a figure of speech. I'd bet money you knew that, but .....you were just doing your thang.

You cancer really look at Bama's defensive numbers, without taking into consideration that their offense became much more quick/proficient.

We out gained ETSU by 220 yards and won by 56 points. QB threw 13 passes and completed 8.
We out gained UTEP by 378 yards won by 24 and shutout UTEP. QB threw 16 passes and completed 12.

Neither team was good. Neither team had a chance to win the game. We didn't need to throw a forward pass to win either game.

When I listen to what he said, I hear him say his players are not good enough and there is nothing he can do about it. Not a fan of that.

Where did he ever say he wasn’t going to let him coach?
