The posts on Thurs night and since then are sickening! VN has been over analyzing our coach/QB situation since as far back as i can remember, and we've been happy with exactly no one.

Can we all accept the fact that there will NEVER be another Peyton/Coach-Cut combination and move along? It swear we are still living in the 90s thinking we're gonna one-up that experience.

Or, we can continue acting like a nation of Libertards by bashing each other with as much hate as our Presidential nominees. Some of us got downright rude, throwing racially charged comments on the board.

For gosh sakes, grow up and get over it! Dobbs aint Peyton, Martin or anyone else, and Coach D aint Cutcliff. But its who we have! Im done w the Dobbs bashing.

I mean for really! We act like a bunch of spoiled fn babies! It's football and things don't always go your way. It's not always pretty. You take the win however you can get it and move on.

welcome to the forum, where we tend analyze things and may even disagree sometimes. If that doesn't suit you, you may want to consider elsewhere.

Man, do the nega Vols ever come out in mass when there is the slightest miscue. It is almost as if they relish in misery!

I am not going to give up on becoming a top 10 football program. I am not going to accept mediocraty "just because we can't get another Peyton Cut combination". This program can do more. This program shoud do more.

I am also not going to stop being upset when the football team lays an egg on the field. We should be upset about that. The performance last Thursday is unacceptable.

Depends on what happens vs. the Hokies. We suck or are going to win a national championship on a week to week basis.

They do relish in it. There is a such thing as over doing anything. We have 20 threads dedicated to the same thing. Then almost every non related thread be it recruiting or otherwise have been invaded with the same foolishness. I don't have a problem with people speaking their minds but once you have said what you have to say. Let it go. You guys are like a cancer to the program. Then you wonder why the coaches are having a hard time recruiting.

The short answer is "no," OP.

The long answer is that there are too many people who see significant deficiencies in Butch's game day decisions which lead them to believe that he cannot overcome the best coaches/teams in the conference.

So, the App St. talk will be somewhat replaced by BaB and Va. Tech discussion, but this will not go away as long as Butch is at the helm.

After we beat the brakes off VT, everyone will forget the Appy State game ever happened.

Actually no. I'm sure they'll be some idiot on here that brings up the Appalachian St. game even if we did beat the breaks off of Virginia Tech cause there's always that one guy that wants to find something negative to talk about. Maybe if all the Negavols would grow a pair and move the hell on to the next game, we wouldn't have to read all this negative crap in every single thread.

No we may not. Not until everybody is good and ready to move on.

The negative posters are the only ones I trust. They speak openly without *****footing around the problems they see.

Besides that, this would be a dull place from Sunday thru Friday without them stirring the pot.

We have the 3 stooges (Butch, Debord, and Mahoney) shifting OLinemen from Center to Guard to Tackle to see where they might play if one of them gets hurt. The consequence of which is that none of them end up playing well anywhere.

We have a QB that Debord doesn't trust to throw a downfield pass against a Sunbelt team on opening day. Butch and Debord scheme the game so conservatively that Dobbs has to launch himself toward the goal in OT and get bruised up to try to avert a homefield loss. And a loss it might have been had not Hurd covered that endzone fumble.

I am a positive poster but here is my take.

You have to look at everything from both sides. Sometimes the negs make sense and if there is enough they might light a fire, start a debate, or make a change.

The problem is some don't know when to quit, some go too far, and some relish the chance to voice a neg opinion. If you listen you will hear some truth.

I'm too positive to like it but I can't always deny it.

It is what it is, not was what it was. Dobbs is a great leader and runner full of heart and determination. He just doesn't throw that well which imo the poor performance of the o-line is certainly not helping that any..

At least we won. Haven't won many close games in recent years. I can only imagine the dumpster fire on LSU boards.

Other than teams that steamroll everyone in their path like Nebraska did in the 1990's, all championship teams have at least one game per season that they play beneath their talent.
In 1999, Alabama played poorly against us and got luck by blocking the field goal. I am sure there are other examples of championship caliber teams that played poorly once in the season.
This is our one game that we played poorly. We still end up with a regular season 10-2 record with losses to Florida & Alabama and a S.E.C. Championship ring.
Only thing that matters is that we get there, not necessarily how we get there.
