Can we get 28 commitments by NSD?

I don't see why we can't sign 27 out of these:

1 James Stone
2 Rajaan Bennett
3 Rajion Neal
4 Martaeze Jackson
5 Glen Stanley
6 Calvin Smith
7 Torrian Wilson
8 Eddrick Loften
9 Nash Nance
10 DaRick Rogers
11 Kody Williams
12 Mychal Rivera
13 Delvin Jones

Then there is a slim chance with Shon Coleman, Damien Robinson, Chaz Green, Markeith Ambles, Ahmad Dixon, Corey Nelson, Corey Lemonier, etc.

Also on radar: Demarcus Underwood, Martez Eastland.

There is also some instate talent like: Clemmons, Robinson, Darkwa, Jonathon Brown, Williamson, Keon Williams, Bohanna, etc.

A full coaching staff wouldn't hurt our chances our filling this class with quality players. Whatever happens, please God, do not fill this class with kids...just to fill it.

There is hope! Out of your 13 I think that Rogers, Nance, Loften, Wilson are gone. I don't think we get any of your slim chancers (maybe an outside chance at Robinson). Which means we need to get some in-state players. If we pick up both Rajaans then we have no need for Darkwa.

We could do it, the question is do we want to if we can't fill our class with quality guys. How many are you allowed to backcount if we do not sign a full class? Is there a limit on the number you can backcount?

will be very close

cant afford to NOT fill the class since we are shorthanded already

if it looks bad on the monday before, we just have to start calling vandy/mtsu/memphis/kentucky commits. could complete the class in an afternoon

I hope we can beat out Louisville for Wilson!

Let's just face the facts this is not going to be the best class! But I think the players that stay commited will be the players that we want .The ones that want to be here the ones that bleed orange.

If we're lucky, we get half of your list of 13 = 6 or 7, for a total of 22 or 23 IMO.

I agree with this. Rather than just fill the class, we can back count more EE's next year.

Right now, we have a lot of guys who were interested, then put on hold as backups. We need to strike this year while we have so many quality guys interested. There is no guarantee about recruiting in the future. Dooley may not recruit as high a quality recruit in the future as he has interested right now.

Also, we may have a lot of room left under 85 when fall comes anyway,

can anyone even name 13 more realistic possibilities?

Calvin Smith
Delvin Jones
Rajaan Bennett
Damian Robinson
James Stone
Clarence Jackson

D. Underwood
M. Jackson
E. Loften
M. Rivera
R.Neal

I can come up with yours and mine = 11

I just can't see getting 27 or 28

anyone on here still have eligibility? I think we can make it happen, I for one do not know how long my knees would hold up, but heck I give it a shot "for the team"

27 guys and the answer is yes.

If we end up with guys like James Stone, Glass, Curry etc. it will be because we missed on some others (although some here will still argue that James Stone is a high take I think he is below, Torrian Wilson, Chaz Green, John Cullen, Shon Coleman, Arie Kouandjio and possibly Damien Robinson).

We are not out of it for lots of other players. We can fill this class. It will just be 5.6 to 5.8 guys instead of 5.8 to 6.0 guys finishing out our class.

I would have to enter grad school, but I would have all 4 years of eligibility left -- just need a little time to get back into shape and clean up a few details.

I will need to get my Disability payments stopped and perhaps get a new, stronger wooden leg and a back brace, but other than that I am ready to volunteer. I have plenty of life insurance. Can't do much about being 63 years old, though.

If we are just going to offer spots to fill a roster they need to be Tennessee kids that their dream has been to be a Vol. They will play with more heart than these 5* guys ever will.

I agree, if we need to fill some spots, why not bring in some local kids who are willing to give there all for Tennessee!

Exactly the Robinson kid from Alcoa and Darkwa at Ensworth would commit if offered. Why should we let Robinson go to Kentucky when we need TE's?

Can we? Yes, will we? Probably not.

You have to remember, we could fill the rest of this class with 3 stars that Lane turned away. Doesn't mean Dooley would take them all, but yeah, we could fill this class up no problem.

I happen to think, thought that we will leave some spaces for room next year.
