I agree on Lawson! I would love to see the Vols get Lawson but, with Auburn getting his last visit this weekend and being an Auburn commit already, Malzahn will seal the deal. CBJ will still end up with a pretty good class considering the time he had and other obstacles he had to contend with such as the inability of the previous staff to get any quality wins against SEC opponents.

I also love to be optimistic but I try to even it out with a little realism. If we finish 15-20 it would be a minor miracle performed by Butch and staff. I still can't get over how hard this staff has worked. A top 10 class would be a full-blown miracle.:eek:hmy:

I really love your optimism!! GBO!! I think that Levenberry and Ford are stronger leans away from us right now than maybe a week or two ago, but, based on what I have read, everybody else you named could easily be a Volunteer in a week. That being said, I am really not concerned about where we land as far as class ratings number. Whoever CBJ's lands will be a good days work. If he will get the work done on the field this fall, I am absolutely confident that we will land a top 5 class next year. Winning (at least 8 wins this fall) will cure a lot of evils plus Butch Jones and staff are showing signs of creating excitement, buzz, potential and competitiveness. Great Post!!

CBJ and staff visited VB's coach in his home yesterday and made a good impression on him. Butch stayed 30 mins and left to fly to alabubba. The rest of the staff had a two hour dicussion with coach Mariakis, who will help Vonn and his parents make the decision.
CBJ and staff are busy establishing and building relationships with HS coaches, doing the work !

It seems from the other boards like the higher possibilities are:
S - V. Bell
LB - Levenberry
DE/OLB - M. Brown

Then the "possibles" might be:
QB - J. Dobbs
OL - C. Morris
WR - T. Boyd

Then the "outside chances" would be:
DE - Lawson
RB - Ford

Can't wait to see, though.

So what if he is extremely unrealistic? It looks to me like we have a realistic shot at landing every kid he listed.

Oh .. and since i was born in 85' your probably right but that doesnt mean you are anymore of a VOL fan than i am. It sure as h*ll doesnt mean that you know where these kids will commit anymore than the OP or anyone else for that matter.

I'm really excited about how we could finish strong on NSD, we could definitely pull a top 15, maybe top 10 class...

5* Vonn bell
5* Carl Lawson
4* EJ Levenberry
4* jonathon ford
4* Morris OL
4* Gibson
4* Boyd.
3* miller
3* brown

Several option still left but I feel like we end up with... Vonn, Lawson, EJ, ford, miller, Morris OL, so that's still 2-5* 3-4* 1-3*

5* Bell - All Vol
5* Lawson - He worries me.. i think he goes to Auburn.
4* Levenberry - 70% UT/ 30% FSU
4* Ford - 50% UT/ 50% Auburn
4* Morris - 75% UT/ 25% UCLA
4* Gibson - 75% UT/ 25% WVU
4* Boyd - JMO but i think we get Boyd and Gibson
3* Miller - 95% Vol
3* Brown - Im not too sure about him.

Ill be happy with just Bell. I think Dobbs will be a good pick up as well. I wonder if he is good enough to make the baseball team?
