I don't really understand why black is so opposed... I think white, orange, and black could lead to some pretty cool uniforms... i remember hearing somewhere that black uni's was an option for the SEC Champ. game this past year, but it could have just been hearsay.
What can be done for new uniforms?
After much thought, is it possible to do anything?
I am sure they have tried over the years and just not alot of options with our colors? what can we do?
I would think Adidas could do something, right?
My pick for an alternate use, maybe just for Florida-
white helmet- block T starting at back, coming up and over top of helmet, with the T spread across front.
Uni- orange and white half split diagonally with numbers alternating color scheme from other side.
Pants- well.... can't do checkered.
All I know is that we have been relatively stagnant on this with minimal changes for the last 20 years.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
Just a rough idea of what you asked for looks like:sick:
I stopped at the jersey, I seriously don't think I could stomach doing anything to the pants.
I think I threw up in my mouth about three times will doing this. I feel bad for Brad for even doing that to this pic of him.
-P.S. look at all of the lists that people create of the best uniforms and best helmet. There is a reason that we are listed on most of them.
What are you talking about? I'm pretty sure we just had to get an OK to wear those 2004 uniforms because they weren't one solid color. I'm think the away team gets to choose what color they want to wear, but the home team usually asks them to wear white. I guess you could technically force the home team to wear white, but no one does it, as it would probably not seem very classy. How could we wear orange every game?
I wouldn't mind if they did something similar to what the Arizona cardinals did. For example

...and this one is pretty similar to the classic Jerseys everyone seems to like. .....If you imagine it in orange that is.

Just a thought.
We had to get the NCAA to waive the rules for that game because there was too much orange on it for it to be an away jersey, but it had too much white on it for it to be a home jersey.
The NCAA was considering a couple years ago eliminating the rule that said one team had to wear a lighter color and the other team had to wear a darker color. This rule was put in place because people couldn't tell which team was which with black and white TV sets, obviously not a real big problem anymore. If they ever do decide to eliminate this rule we would probably wear orange a vast majority of the time.
