Agree but only because Tua went down with an injury and Mac Jones hadn't taken any meaningful snaps. If Tua doesn't get injured they blow us away. Good news is that Tua is no longer there and neither are Jeudy or Ruggs or Harris. Mac looked good in bowl game and Auburn game, it was Bama's defense that was bad.Can we really say any games are "definite losses"? I mean we had a solid chance against Bama this year in Tuscaloosa.
Why do you think OU is a definite loss? The time for getting blown out is over for Pruitt. Need to show recruits that we can actually compete with the big boys instead of losing by 3-4 TD's in noncompetitive games. Although Bama was competitive because Tua went out but we haven't been close to them since 2015.
If Harrison Bailey beats out JG then won't we be breaking in a new QB as well?Ou is far from a definite loss. They also will be breaking in a new QB along with Bammer, and possibly UGA.
I rank them in order of difficulty:
Bammer
UF
UGA
OU
We certainly, may very well lose all 4 of those games...but none can be chalked up as automatic losses, especially if we can get some decent QB play.
I think we will be better on defense.
If Trey comes back we basically return everyone on O except 2 WRs, but I think we will be pleasantly surprised there with Keyton, Palmer, Gibbs and hoping Brandon Johnson pulls a Travis Stephens like year after RSing.
Mac Jones looked decent when Tua went out. Will be an interesting battle. If Harrison Bailey beats out JG then won't we be breaking in a new QB as well?
For Bama I wouldn't be surprised if the true freshman starts for them. He was more impressive than Tua coming out of high school and in the all star game.

Mac looked really good against Auburn and good against Michigan as well. Took him some time to get adjusted to playing more. Will be an interesting battle for their QB spot. Also expect the transfer portal to light up as well.Mac Jones looked decent when Tua went out. Will be an interesting battle.
Not sure if a transfer would take the chance given Mac’s success and the 5* coming in. Maybe one might just to compete and ride the coattails if they lose, but usually the grad transfers want a sure thing. Mac or a frosh is a significant step down from tua though. UGA’s QB situation is a bigger question mark if Fromm leavesMac looked really good against Auburn and good against Michigan as well. Took him some time to get adjusted to playing more. Agree on Fromm and UGA. Not even sure who they have as a backup. Dwon Mathis and Carson Beck, neither of whom has played a down. Not sure if a transfer would take the chance given Mac’s success and the 5* coming in. Those 2, Stetson Bennet, and a 3* Nevada transfer (Austin Kirksey?). UGA would have to hit the portal. Mathis still isn’t cleared for contact after his brain surgery, Beck is a frosh, and the other 2 are depth at best. There’s a chance Mathis’ career could be over.Agree on Fromm and UGA. They don't have a proven QB and will be the second game of the season.....whoever has better QB play will win the gameBecause they are more talented than we are top to bottom, have more depth and mainly they have more speed than we do....right now. We are remedying speed on offense but LB's are still slow in coverage and Riley will eat that up. We are getting better though.
Would hate that for UGA if that were to happenThose 2, Stetson Bennet, and a 3* Nevada transfer (Austin Kirksey?). UGA would have to hit the portal. No game is a definite loss. Fromm could be gone, tua is gone, Hurts is gone, and UF’s run game is suspect. Plus there’s no way to account for injuries. UGA’s entire offense went down when Cager went down and Bama’s defense also caught a bunch of injuries and was sub par after. Why is Georgia a definite loss? That game is late in the season next year and could be a win for us.
