Can we beat Miss St next year in Knoxville?

Have we ever beaten a former head coach or coordinator with their new team? This is a serious question... I'm not counting Butch since he was just an "analyst" at Alabama, but the following coaches have beaten Tennessee in the last 10 years as a coordinator, since either leaving or being fired:

John Chavis (LSU and Texas A&M)
Lane Kiffin (Alabama)
Jim Chaney (Arkansas and Georgia)
Derek Dooley (Missouri)

Does Randy Sanders at ETSU count? LOL!...or Walt Harris at Pacific in 1990.

The problem is if we face a former coach or corordinator they left us in a real bad shape.

Probably not.

Basically same returning cast on offense learning a new offense and a defense with a rebuilt D line.

Which team has had the all-important benefit, extolled ad nauseam by Tennessee Fan throughout the month of November, of the extra practices that accompany a bowl appearance?

They will lose most if not all of their NFL caliber DL to draft and graduation. QB gone but the replacement is very good.

We should take um in a hard fought game. A couple of splash plays by Chandler/WRs will be the difference.

If we can beat Auburn in their own stadium we can beat MS St in ours. We just need to develop more consistency and a better OL

If we can beat Auburn & Ky, we can end the season with wins over Vandy & USC too
However, it somehow didn't end up that way

With a serviceable OL, we can beat 10 teams in the SEC and potentially upset 2 others.

Best case scenerio next season is 9 - 3 with losses to Bama, Florida & UGA
Likely scenerio is we get 6 wins. Four non conference wins and somehow manage to win 2 SEC East teams
