Can we acknowledge a bad coaching hire may have been made?

Honestly, losing is not enough. That's why Vandy is different. That loss would be embarrassing because Vandy is winless.

So, if Florida were to win by a score of 52-10 or something like that, now it's not just the losing it's the complete embarrassment.

I don't think a loss of that magnitude is going to happen, but Kyle Pitts will be back.

Good grief; go away.

I think it's very possible for a UF blowout. We are talking about a TN team that has barely scored any points in the second half against one of the best offenses in CFB. We'd be lucky to have a shoot out

30 plus against Florida anyway, A&M who knows, Vandy could be a 14 point loss easily. But we keep starting JG.
I never thought I'd live to see a 8 game losing streak but there's a real possibility it will happen. The must maddening part is we have talent but absolutly no desire. This team has packed it in and when a team quits on it's coach it's game over. We are prolonging the inevitable. Pruitt is going to go down as one of if not the worst HC to ever wear orange and white.

While no one really wants to have a man lose his good paying job, it's obvious that on the sidelines and the on-the-field productivity is lacking. What corporation do you know of would allow for such excuses? I just cannot stomach the fact that a head coach says there are not better QBs on the bench. I have such a hard time wrapping my head around that one. Why didn't you find those who would ready to start at any time? All these lower tier programs seem to find these dazzling quarterbacks from somewhere...just look at what they do on ESPN.

All announcers seem to say about JG is how bad he is and the tough time he has had. So, so embarrassing.
I think we have been acknowledging a bad coaching hire was made since the 2nd half of the Georgia.

THIS:
I think with it being a weird year, the admin won’t make a move, even if we lose out. JMO.
I agree. The administration will just say: "This has been an inconclusive season" and we'll go into 2021 with CJP at the helm and JG our starting QB....."giving us the best chance to win".
As far as the rest of this year goes..after seeing the recent re-shuffle of the SEC schedule, perhaps , just MAYBE...there won't even be a Vandy game this year..!! I can see that scenario being a HUGE relief for CJP.

Just out of curiosity (now think about this one), what did we really want to see? Without the orange-tinted glasses, what did we think we realistically could do this season with the personnel on the field? 5 - 5? 6 - 4?
IMO........we are 2-5 presently and should be 5-2 with our only losses being to Bama ahd UGA who are better teams this year, Covid hampered UT up front and a 5th year sr. isn't a good leader and in fact is a huge liability.Sad thar our staff can't fiqure that out. CJP needs to sign this current class and have a full spring of practice before I could even begin to render a judgement. Covid has people on edge and we need to chill out. Things will be better.

With the Vandy game postponed and we face the Gators next, does a 6 game losing streak spell the end of the coaching staff? How many losses can the admin take before making a move?
Well it's going to be a 6 game losing streak no doubt about that. Most likely Pruitt will not be fired and we will have the same **** next year.

I don't think the team has quit like years past. Last year showed that he can get this team playing really smart and fast on defense.

He's gonna have to get a Quarterback that will do for him what Dobbs did for Jones.

Fla should slant every play, that would be epic. 52-10 is very likely or even worse

Honestly, I don't think Tennessee plays another game this year because of "covid", Fulmer and Pruitt are cowards

Go listen to the press conference yesterday before any of this was announced when I believe it was Hyams calling Pruitt out and giving props to State for playing Georgia ( believe he even said a ranked Georgia team ) with only 49 scholarship players. Then Pruitt said " well mmmmmkay, aight well what if you have 6 centers out mmmmmkay aight "

I expect UT to covid the rest of the year away. Perfect excuse to avoid the misery of losing out and keep Pruitt. Can't say he wouldn't have turned things around, right? The revenue hit will be no big deal given the limits on attendance plus the fact that even those folks won't want to watch this team anymore.

On the bright side...they can get a jump start on hiring Freeze. ;)

I keep trying to find reasons Pruitt keeps dying on the same hill with JG. He is a tough kid and he tries hard but clearly doesn't have the skills or he hasn't been coached for this level. The only thing I can possibly think of that would make even a little sense is that JG is a great worker at practice and film rooms while the other QB's are just lazy and Pruitt absolutely won't reward laziness. I have no idea here just a WAG while trying to make sense of insanity.
