I just don't understand...we told a couple of our LBs to take a hike with what seems like no fallback. I don't get it...

If you are going to be weak by position on D, LB is the spot. If your Dline is great, average LBers will look good. And if you have good DB's you're good in coverage. You can run a 4-2-5(nickel)or 5-2-4 and cover up lack of depth. Not ideal, not inspiring but it is what it is.

This upcoming season imo will be the most important season for the next 10 years at least. This recruiting class is going to be pretty bland at best unless a few really good ones takes mercy on us. If we have a turnaround this year on the field, things will work themselves out quick. If we fall on our face again, I think we'll be in this rut for quite a while (recruiting at least).

Not all of those DB recruits will end up at that position. CBJ is recruiting speed and I heard he likes smaller, faster LBs. That may be his intentions.

I think Grace, Ball and Toney can all be swung but it will take some work...right now I don't think we lead for any of them but a good visit could change that

I was kinda hoping we'd hit bottom already and getting ready for the climb back to the top. Didn't realize we had further to fall. Guess KY and Vandy will beat us next year.

Oh. Ok, let's try this....

Remember when you were on that team that time, and the game hung on the hope that that kid hit a home run/slam dunk/field goal/strike/hole in one and win the game for all you guys? And you didn't have to do anything but have faith and trust it would all work out? Cause there wasn't anything you could do about it anyway cause you were on the bench? It's like that.
