I was listening to Josh Ward’s podcast today and he made the comment “there’s been lots of noise/rumors going around college football regarding TN’s recruiting for some time”. He was talking about the current investigation.

Could someone explain/describe what these rumors would be and which coaches, aside from Neids, this might affect? I’m assuming attempts at exchanging cash or other improper benefits.

When internal investigations are leaked it is likely going to be limited in the damage. I expect a couple of people suspended for a game or two and a recruiter suspended from meeting with recruits. I think there is a lot of noise/rumors around Bama, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, etc...

I just listened to Josh Pratt on 247sports, It sounds to be like things are moving because it's got national attention now.
so things may be interesting in the next few days to come.

Very little is being made public yet but we know Amarius Mims- 5* OL signed with Georgia is a point of interest. I know we were after him pretty heavy for a while. I’m sure there will be more names to come.

I guess my main question is: what could we be doing that would pique the interest of other schools? The way he was talking, it seemed eyebrows were being raised before we even began an investigation. Just curious if people on here who follow recruiting way more than I do have actually heard things before this.

Sounds like a certain DL coach who got axed mid-game in the middle of the season is still pretty salty.

If UGA wants to go down that road let’s roll. Kirby better shut his mouth . I’m all for MAD if Kirby wants to sling it.

According to the janitor who was let go , he came across some check receipts from a possible high dollar booster that were made to a former player . Janitor has now come forward .

Some people have been insinuating that they might’ve and if you choose to believe some of the posters on the RF, which I do, UGA should think twice about blowing the whistle on anyone.

After all that has transpired at the blue blood schools with no punishment, and the NCAA wanted to come down on us, i would lawyer the hell up on them.

You have to realize his comment may not be fact based. I watch and listen to any news about the Vols. I have not heard a word about recruiting issues until this past week. One of my best friends is a Bammer. If he heard anything he would have been wearing me out about it.

Everybody on Sports Source knew of rumors and said it was being discussed by non-local reporters for a while. Just saying that because no need to get so smarmy about everyone local who makes comments.
