It has been going on since the Battle at Bristol, and it is seriously getting old.

All we heard before the game was..VT is good, we better not be overlooking them..this unit or that unit is better then UT..Then we won, ran them over..And after the game, it turns into....

VT wasnt a real test..I will believe in this team if they can win against a real team like Florida..they need to man up, break the streak. After that, then I will be happy..then I will believe in CBJ and this team..so the team goes and runs over Florida.. It turns into.

Florida sucks..that wasnt a real test, it was at home..they were not full strength..newish coach.blah blah blah..but if if can go do it on the road...if we can beat UGA..thats a real test..Can we go between the hedges and get a win..have not done that since 06..Thats a real test...if we can do that, then I will believe in CBJ and this team..so the team goes to GA..manhandles them and gets the win..even though in the last seconds they pull ahead, our players are like NO!! You will not beat us..and get the win.. And now it's all..

UGA sucks..got lucky..refs this refs that...BUT A&M now thats a real test..yadda yadda yadda

It will never stop..we will beat A&M, and it will be they were over rated..didnt play anyone till us..they suck..bama is the real test...

Then we will beat Bama..And they will come up with some reason that happened..And why it doesnt count cause Bama sucks..

It is really rediculous at this point already.

Make up your mind and stick with it..you cant have it both ways, and keep coming up with excuses of why that game you were so worried about caise that team is so good...is all of a sudden no good because we won...doesnt work that way

LOL.... I needed a good laugh. So, in a nutshell you're upset that fans have been and are still being critical of this team? Uhhmmm... ok! You do realize that this is not something unique to Tennessee football, right? I don't see how TN fans or folks on this board are any different than any fans of any other sports team that I've ever followed.
Look...I think what you're referring to simply comes down to the individual and their personality. Some of us are "glass half full" folks and others are "glass half empty" folks and the rest are somewhere in between. You realize that these boards would cease to exist if not for those differences, right? What would your preferred alternative be? Do you really need EVERYONE on this board to proclaim that this is a really good team? I think the results speak for themselves. This team is 5-0. Perfect? Not by any account. But then again no team ever is. And if you're upset that some are referencing luck or good fortune (or whatever you want to call it) with regards to the results, then I don't know what to tell you. Comes with the territory. I can't recall a really good team in any sport that didn't benefit from quite a bot of good fortune along the way.
Maybe it's just been too long since we've experienced what being legitimate feels like. The amount of doubters and naysayers grows exponentially relative to your success. Just remember that at the end of the day nothing really matters aside from the actual results on the field. And you're right...should we beat A&M there will be a ton of reasons/excuses why we did regardless of the circumstances. So maybe at the end of the day it's more on YOU to ignore all of that stuff and simply enjoy the ride. You know, whatever makes you happy! Just my $.02
