Basilio reported earlier he didn’t even know about the Washington post article on Schiano. That’s incomprehensible and grounds for immediate dismissal.

I understood that he was not liked at K-State when he was there. Seemed like they were happy when he got the job at UT.

No way you move on Schiano with his baggage (even if he's 100% innocent on the PSU stuff). His jackassery in the pros and mediocre record do not merit the hire.

Inexplicable hire even without the PSU stuff.

He has completely screwed up the hiring process. This Shiano mess was a huge PR nightmare. You had an uproar by the fan base, state legislators, and negative comments from the White house (If the post was true). It appears we are way down our list. Gruden isn't coming and we supposedly approached, Mullen, Shiano(which shouldn't have been on radar) before this is over it appears we will be down to our 5 or 6 choice if lucky.

Who is left to get, I guess call butch back or one of the many butch 2.0 versions.

I don't think so. If he hires Petersen and he wins here Currie might recover eventually. Idk that he has that long.

I bought in to Matthews and others saying Tennessee finally had the right people in place to make a big football hire. This clown tries to rolll out Schiano. Tennessee needs an administrative enema before it gets back to winning. The fact that these freaking Aholes thought this would be ok shows how out of touch they are. We have a bunch of people that don't understand the culture and don't care to understand.

The hire they make now will be some nobody. Some cheapass hire that no one has heard of. Ut athletics will spin it, some of you will eat it up BC let's face it the only thing more pathetic than our administration is the fans that put up with this crap.

Currie got played by coaches and agents. He's in over his head. He's now in a spot where he will absolutely overpay for a lesser known coach and pray he's the home run. This debacle has sealed curries fate. Dead man walking IMO.
