I was just curious to see if the kid could play since our qb situation isnt looking to great.

The way its looking we might have to do that. I know G Jones would rather play WR. I hope it wouldnt run him off... What about running the option in the SEC? Think that would work with G or Berry?

.....Why would you put this man at QB? Just hand him the football and let him work; at least that way there is a threat of a pass

G Jones wont play quarterback unless they make special package for him like last year.

UT needs to get some scrub that can hand the ball off and run the option...

Chris Walker has been tearing it up in practice why not let him try his hand at quarterback. Seriously though I don't want to be one of those teams that runs the option, wildcat, or the trash Florida runs. I want to get back to those Manning days of a pure dropback passer and letting them air it out.

Yeah that Fla crap they run would be useless here. Does UT have any QBs for '10 that could play QB right away?

You might the offense florida runs is trash but its tearing every defense in the sec apart because of the great athletes they have. If Tennessee had the athletes florida does i would not care what offense we ran because we would be very difficult to stop.

im all for the dropback as well. we need fundamental quarterback, not a quarterback who thinks he IS the offense

yeah i just think bj is gonna be the guy. i actually hoped jc would get the job and and end his career on a high note. but some ppl i went to high school with have classes with him at ut and say he is dumber than a rock. bj prolly doesnt have the arm strength. but ill take brains over strength any day. and it not like the guy is totally inadequate, he can put the ball where it needs to be.

Yes, because what we need in a pro-style offense is a running back playing QB full-time. I don't think so.

Let's let the staff pick their guy and play a few games against NCAA and SEC competition before we start tearing the guts out and building a brand new motor, shall we?

This is the dumbest thread I've ever seen. You want to put a true freshman RB at QB? All he'd do is run, and you want to risk injury by having him get his ass handed to him by someone like Brandon Spikes? what an idiot

I think it's hilarious that people are actually annoyed at this thread. I really don't think Zasnow was being serious, but just pointing out that our QB situation is uncertain at best. Now if he was....
