Can Bama be beat?

Yeah. They are. But. I think several teams could beat them at any point. They aren't WAY better than everyone else.

They have scored 49 points in back to back road games vs ranked sec teams. Not to mention doing the same at ole miss on the road a few weeks back. Think about that.

Yes they are beatable. This isn't the best bama team we've seen, they just made us look bad.

In the sec, TAM, LSU will challenge them. Iron bowl is always competitive.

Ohio state, Michigan, Clemson and maybe Washington can beat them. I expect OSU and bama to play each other in the playoffs in a great game.

Alabama - Ohio STate---clearly the two best teams and they should meet in the title game. Alabama's D should control that game.

Comparing only the A&M/UT game and the UT/Bama game is causing lots of crappy analysis & conclusions, IMO.

How about comparing A&M/Ark and Bama/Ark? .... Aggies won by 21, Tide by 19.

Does A&M beat Bama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday? .... I don't know.
What I do know is that I can't get a single Bama fan to bet a $100 ATS on this game with me.

IMO, someone is gonna win by 3-7 pts .... the advantage obviously being with Bama.

This makes me sad to type... but here goes... I don't see Alabama losing this year. None of their games have even been close so far.

They're gonna beat A&M by 3 touchdowns.. :thud:

Yes, Bama can be defeated. Look at what was working for the Vols to see some of the keys
* Avoid their pass rush by moving the QB (e.g. when Dobbs moved parallel to the LOS, he had time to find the open man and complete the pass for a 1st down)
* Complete passes to the middle of the field and down the sidelines
* Disguise your run game - don't execute exactly as you have to date
* Get into their backfield, harry Hurts, tackle their RBs before they hit stride
* Cover well; there will be opportunities for INT

Feel free to contribute to the list. Saban knows his team can be beat. Pray somebody does.

Yes, they are beatable but you have to at least keep the LOS competitive on both sides of the ball, which is tough.

Then, when on D, stop the run and force their very mediocre passer to pass. As we saw, he will make mistakes.

When on O, their secondary can be had if a QB has adequate time.

Mighty short memories on this board.

Ole Miss had them down 24-3 just a few weeks ago in a game Alabama ended up winning by 5 in which they had a long fumble return that ended in a TD and an 85 PR than ended in a TD.

Excellent special teams, defending their run game, and not turning the ball over is the starting point. Giving them cheap points is a recipe for disaster.

You can beat them if you want to. Don't allow them to substituted their fat asses out all game and rapid fire hit them with as many backs as you can gather in the hurry up until they just can't do it anymore.

Yeah someone with a stout run defense maybe could.. Limit turnovers and mix run & pass and yeah they can be beat.

Our run defense has been pretty awful this year. One of the most puzzling deals this season.. The defense just hasn't stopped the run worth a crap..

When they are firing on all 12 cylinders, NO. Cam they have a bad day and only hit on half, generally happens once a year.
