Can any of these coaches build a staff?

The truth is, Fulmer failed to fire and hire as he should. Loyalty is two edge sword. It played well for Fulmer and then got him fired. Staff is the key to the success of any program. When you hire, you hire the best available. When you do that, they leave to go other places... usually up the ladder. The only person to be hired off of a Fulmer staff is Cut. We need a coach who can recruit AND hire the best staff possible and replace them when they are hired away. Fulmer's staff was stale. He failed to renew in his staff. It is good to read a post that addresses more than just recruiting and an offense that puts up a lot of yards.

I believe Woody McCorvey (our former Running Backs coach) is the Offensive Coordinator at Miss. St. I agree with the point you're making though. One man cannot control the actions or performances of 50+ young men. Therefore it is imperative to surround yourself with the right assistants.

Who would Muschamp get? Kiffin is a young guy who has coached in the NFL before. I trust him before some DC like Muschamp. Hopefully Auburn fires Tuberville so we don't have to worry about Muschamp.

I would rather see Charlie Strong on the sidelines next year then Muschamp. Strong has been in the Sec for years and has called some big games not to mention his defense looks impressive. As for Muschamp his defense should be nicknamed Bonfire the way they have been torched this season. Welcome to the board, sink or swim whoever the next coach is we all have to live with it.

Are you an idiot? Didn't LSU win a National Title with his defense? When he was at Auburn he Shut UF down with one of the best defenses in the league. It's only his first year at Texas. How you can say Strong would be a better option than Muschamp is beyond me. I guess the National Title LSU won doesn't qualify for calling a big game. Just ridiculous. Some of you amaze me sometimes. There are better options out there than either one of them.
