Can a Tennessee fan love Tebow?

I personally admire Tebow for his moral stance. I feel the same about him as i do Meyer, Spurier, and Saban. These characters are what make the rivalry fun. It is a love hate relationship. Think about Florida games when Zook was there. It just was not the same. Spurier and Meyer bring a negative emotional response that just elevates the rivalry that much more. That is why everyone is after us because of what Kiffin has said or done. It is what makes college football fun. While I respect all these people, and Tebow more than any of the others, I don't have to like them. Maybe when he turns pro, but not now. I am not even sure I will like him then. It's kinda like rooting for Chris DeMarco when he was battling Tiger a few times in majors. Everyone wanted to see Tiger lose, but I didn't want to see a d*** gator do it.

The storied UT/Bama rivalry is a relic of the past.
We don't even have to necessarily out perform the Tide every time we play them now to have a chance to take the SEC title, but FL has been a stumbling block to the division title every single season since the conference split. If we lose to FL, we're almost certainly screwed out of taking the division. Losing to any Western division team is not nearly as harmful as losing to an Eastern division team.

That is just dumb. alabama is Tennessee's biggest rivalry.
In 2007 we lost to florida and still played in the SEC Championship. Tennessee has represented the east five times in the SEC Championship, florida nine. Since 2000, however, Tennessee and florida have both played in three SEC Championships.

Nothing wrong with appreciating Tebow for what he has accomplished and how he has handled himself along the way. Until he does anything to make me think otherwise, he certainly has my respect.

Can't blame him for throwing a gator chop at the Okies when he had his second NC in his hip pocket - especially after all the talking they had done.

Would love to see him taken down a notch on 9/19 though
