Camping and tailgating in Atlanta

In the city? No where to camp unless you have a death wish
Lol stop it. I live here in ATL. Plenty of safe places and since there’s a huge game the city police will be on high alert. ATL doesn’t play about that tourist dollar hence why we keep landing major events.

See about places directly across from the stadium but it’s doubtful since much of that space will be used for parking. However If you face the stadium from across the street and look left there’s a bunch of space for RVs and buses. On the same side of the street the stadium is on next to the Georgia world congress center.

You need to call around to see if you can rent a spot. Hope this helps.

Camp in Roswell and drive down early in the morning. There won’t be any traffic and you’ll be there in 30 minutes.

I lived in the Atlanta area for 40 years. There is no place there I would camp.

Seriously thinking about taking the Marta from Dunwoody. Just how bad is it?
Wife and daughters rode it to downtown when we were there a few months ago and I was at a conference. They didn't seem to have any problems riding it during a weekday during business hours so I would guess it would be fine.

Problem I've had with MARTA is getting on a train after the game. The stations by MBS get overwhelmed when everyone leaves at the end.

After the game, I've found it better to walk to the Five Points station and catch the train there especially if you have to switch to a different line (which you will to get to Dunwoody)
