I know I can see all kinds of basketball pictures in this forum taken from inside the arena. What I want to know is why do they say no cameras allowed in the arena and then when you get inside there are many people with them.

When we went to a game last year involving the Lady Vols, we had to take my digital camera back to the car.
Have they changed the policy or what?

I know they don't want VIDEO CAMERAS in there but shouldn't be the case for a digital camera for stills.

My guess is people hide them on the way in... Digital cameras are almost as small as cell phones now, so it wouldn't be hard to hide in a pocket or something..

Digital cameras are okay, you cant bring a camera with a detachable lens

I will attempt again on Sunday then. My camera does not have a detachable lens. I had rather go by the rules and not sneak it in. Its sort of big and I can't get it in my pockets. Its a Sony DSC H1 outfit.

I had the same problem Friday at the Men's game. They asked if it had video capabilities and I said yes. Well, they said you couldn't have them and I just said that I wouldn't take any videos with it and they let me in with it. Just depends on who you get to search you.
